Reckon Lord could be our Newcombe. Similar playing style and backstory coming through the msd.

Reminds me of a young Hewett, without the versatility, same ish speed, solid hands, good decision maker, both very similar traits

Interesting people talk about the lack of metres gained in Hewett's game (vision is a better indicator), Lord's numbers are much lower per possession, but it's a small sample size

Great pick up for a mid season draft

In a round about way I think that the clubs confidence in the progression of Cooper Lord (who was basically free) meant that Matt Kennedy became surplus to requirements.

This gave us some draft capital that we were able to turn into Harry O'Farrell.

It will be interesting to see how that turns out.

Moir going to be a weapon! Hope so anyway. Got all the right tools from what I've seen so far and just look at that physique. Genuine weapon.
Also, photo before Lord. If that's HOF, he's a big boy.

The photo I saw of Moir he looks strong through the legs.

I would say not.

Just thought he was a little light on in that area is all. Not a big deal. Only my view.
Will most likely add to it over pre-season no doubt.

You don't have to just play one out in the goal square to need upper body and arm strength.
He still needs to be strong enough in the arms for pushing off defenders and tackling.

Didn't mean for my post to seem like an attack on you. Looks a bit harsher reading back. I just get frustrated when every player is judged on how "strong" they look. We need our small forwards to be faster and more agile. Besides the point, we've been the best contested side for the past three seasons and it hasn't brought us a premiership. It's time that we take a different view on things.
We're the only Melbourne based club that has closed training sessions.

Why??
Most Richmond sessions are closed.
