Another year another 12hr and another couple of brands (Ferrari & Aston Martin) return to the mountain after Covid almost wiped the race.

Still no Japanese returns or American debuts though.

the invitation class and GT4 class has taken a hammering though with plenty of cars not coming, GT4 and Marc cars a loss.

Love this event, shame it gets overshadowed by the B1000.

Not a huge field, but a quality one. KVDL quick in P1, that car is my pick for the weekend ahead of Gounon and the Mostert/Brown Ferrari.

Supposedly the GT4 competition only started this year, so they will join more next year.
Also two teams were trying to source Corvettes and Mustangs but as they are brand spanking new there wasn’t enough available, so next year they should be here.

Still more makes this year than last.

The addition of Ferrari and Aston Martin is great, the Ferrari of Mostert/Brown/Serra is a big chance to win this race IMO.

GT4 was around last year, had huge fields on their own but given its very much a pro-am category the speed differentials are a bit dangerous.

T8 will no doubt get a Corvette and I think the Miedecke group will likely grab the GT3 Mustang, hopefully in time for next year.

The GT3 calendar is so cluttered, it could cause some issues moving forward.

T8 jumping on board with Ford kinda confirms they were the ones sniffing around for the new GT3 Mustangs, which begs the question who was chasing hard for the new Vette?
T8 were before they realised how hard it would be to get one

surely BMW are due

Hell, every other brand's jagged one here ( Not you, Aston )
They look quick and Van Der Linde is rapid, but that Mostert Ferrari was stupid fast at Bathurst last November.

There's so many quality teams and cars on the grid. Even the Lowndes/Waters/Randle car can't be discounted if they're on the lead lap with an hour to go.

Then there's Gounon, Campbell, Mauro Engel and the 46 car.
