LOL, Frederick as depth. Seriously not happening..I think we keep Switta, I think his value to us is greater than his value to most clubs.
Kozzie, Bolton, Dudley, Switta can all play in the same forward line.
It does leave Frederick and Sturt as depth, but I think this keeps the above 4 honest plus Sturt is rarely fit.
As other have mentioned, we need melbourne 2025 2nd to match a bid on Robinson, and even then it would probably take their 2nd, our 2nd and our 3rd to match him.
Also if we got to the situation like we are now, with only 2 of Voss, Treacy, Amiss, and Jackson available then we could play Frederick or Sturt as the 3rd tall. Especially Sturt, who is very good as a leading forward.
Having forward depth pushes Reid in the midfield, lets Bolton play more time through the midfield which I think helps our overall team. From 2026, Reid should only rest forward.
2022 I imagine is the only year they crossed paths.Yeah, if he is out of the team most of the season we aren’t getting a 2 for him.
Did he and Josh Carr cross over at the club?
I'm sure we'll try to do so. Is there room for him in the best 22 even without Fyfe and JOM?With Fyfe on his last legs, JOM a year older and Brodie not an option, surely we keep Ras. He should get at least 15 games a season easily.

Add Reid starting to rotate through the middle as well. With Whan and Robinson being injected in the next two years, the writing really is on the wall for Ras, he couldn’t crack the team with Fyfe and Young out, now Fyfe and NOD are out and he’s still not starting.I'm sure we'll try to do so. Brayshaw, Serong, Young, Johnson, NOD and Sharp as a start. Will Pickett and Bolton play so many midfield minutes they're effectively part of this group? If Robinson is as good as they say he'll be part of the mix immediately in 2027 - Whan in year two could be too.
Guess there's enough of chance that he could stay and fight for his spot if that what he wants.
And people accuse me of being overly optimistic! Not even at the club and people have him in rotationsI love how everybody is already including Kozzie in our midfield rotations.
Trade hasn't even been officially announced as on the cards yet and we are already fitting him up for a Premiers 2026 shirt.
God it's good to be a Freo supporter.

Did we include Warner in our rotations? So ras is surplus to needs because of 3 players we don't have? Hope walls is a bit more careful with list management than bigfooty

I think it's less about Freo more about Ras though. I'd sign him for like another 4 years on bargain rates as depth in a good age bracket but the guy needs to look after himself. If some club offers him a better look he needs to take it, though off.the top of my head, im not quite sure which club would. So ras is surplus to needs because of 3 players we don't have? A read an article the other day about a miracle painkiller that only worked on Fremantle supporters. Don't have a link but it went something like....So ras is surplus to needs because of 3 players we don't have? Hope walls is a bit more careful with list management than bigfooty
A read an article the other day about a miracle painkiller that only worked on Fremantle supporters. Don't have a link but it went something like....
A recent study has found a painkiller so powerful that it can heal any amount of pain and trauma. There are several interesting findings from the study. One of these is that only Fremantle Dockers supporters were susceptible to being treated. The other surprise finding was that no actual substance needed to be ingested by the participants for healing to occur. Researches found that they only needed to give Dockers supporters a minuscule amount of 'Hope'and they were able to deal with pain that would put most normal humans into a suicidal frenzy.
On being interviewed one researcher said 'Its actually quite unbelievable how much pain and suffering Dockers supporters will tolerate when given even the smallest amount of Hope. Even after 10 years of rebuilding they still have the youngest team, they have a coach that's lost more games than he's won, but all we have to do is say 'how good will we be next year though?' Or 'what about the good draft picks we'll have?' And their misery and outlook on life completely changes. Supporters, even as recently as yesterday, were happy to give up a star young player for 3 players not even at the club. All that was needed was the supporters to feel Hope, and they felt like they were getting the Ablett family in one package.'
Researchers are now looking to see if there are any genetic links to St Kilda supporters who, although on the other side of the continent, seem to show some of the same physical and mental characteristics as Fremantle Docker supporters.
An application for federal research funding has been made but won't be known until after the election.
Wish I could find the original article. It was really good.

I feel I may have been in the placebo group because hope is not something I'm imbued with much these days.A read an article the other day about a miracle painkiller that only worked on Fremantle supporters. Don't have a link but it went something like....

In need of some accumulator-grunt-workhorse types: St. Kilda (this would be my ideal landing spot for Ras; seems like the sort of player Ross would be able to shape to needs); Melbourne if Petracca leaves; the other mob in town; Port if they trade Butters early to maximise value (+ Wines will be slowing down very soon). If some club offers him a better look he needs to take it, though off.the top of my head, im not quite sure which club would.
Saints need another slow accumulator? While older, they have Steele and Macrae? Edited to add: I really like Ras as a player and would ideally retain him. But if we couldn't reliably find him a b22 spot even with Young injured, doesn't bode well for his longterm future at Freo.
I'd agree that slow accumulators struggle to get gigs, but I really don't think Ras is that slow long-term. He is functionally slow because of his slow decision-making, which is a weakness a non-high-footy-IQ player need consistent game time to fix. I highly doubt it is an intractable issue. His foot speed is serviceable, and his fitness is really top notch. Lots of good midfielders aren't particularly speedy in terms of agility or acceleration, but they're fast decision-makers. I would put players like Serong, Neale in this category. (Murphy Reid is—theoretically—slow.)Saints need another slow accumulator? While older, they have Steele and Macrae? But a 190cm 21 year old with strong hands…some team out there would trial that as a deep forward option.
