Not a hater but I agree. Hughes just finished up with us and was handy at times. Like Banfield he was unconditional about effort. Good to have some players like that around the place.

On minimal salary with a sponsorship attached is a bargain.

If you at the cost analysis, Mcvee will be cheaper in salary and trade assets.

McVee replacing Wagner or Aish would a massive improvement to our backline.

Nah. Every indication from direct quotes has been that it's a matter of when he re-signs rather than if. The Christmas thing is really just fans seeing a recent pattern of 2 data points and taking it to be a rule of thumb.

I'd get slightly worried if it wasn't done by Round 1 2025, but until then I wouldn't be too fussed.
