Kozzie will raise a lot of interesting questions list management wise:
  • Pick one of Sturt, Freddy or Switta to trade or send to Peel.
  • How do Reid and/or Simpson ever get a look in? Do they kick one or two of the other names above out eventually? Do we move Simpson to the HBF? Has all the tools.
  • The Darcy debate comes up again because the other way to make a spot is move Jackson (who was requested to put on weight supposedly) to full time ruck...

If Koz comes in, Switta goes to Melbourne.

Didn't happen this year, but likely still on the cards.
That’s my thinking, I know it was barely a rumour but if he’s at all interest in returning to Vic, then Switta helps open the discussion with the dees.
After being immortalised as an inaugural freo premiership player in 2025, Switta can request a trade home and we trying to fill the void of losing a premiership player with Kozzie.

I like your thinking ... straight swap.

I am quite open to consider players as tradeable: Switkowski, Reid, Simpson, Frederick and Banfield could be trade assets for Kozzie, IF it was what they wanted. I'm a bit more attached to Sturt and his points of difference. Erasmus may push for a trade.

At some point players being traded is part of salary cap management.

I think preferably forwards from that list who play other positions relatively less.?

Brayshaw?

Found this interesting. Everyone thought we were after berry

Hang on a sec, Tim Gossage has it on solid authority that Freo would have definitely taken Berry or Allen if they were at our pick.
Who to believe? The guru who has every clubs list manager on speed dial and has correctly picked the top 10 in the draft for the last 5 years, or the flog on the radio who pretends he supports St Kilda to remain “neutral”.

How about we trade in Pickett for Delean? Sounds like a fair trade to me.
We didn't delist enough players this season. I know you are joking but Delean is very far off it and odds are he is the first to be delisted. Hope he turns it around!

I watched a fair bit of Peel and I would agree. There was a reason he drifted to pick 60. For me and it is just my opinion I didn’t see a lot of small forward traits that will translate to AFL. Got up high for the odd almost hanger but that was about it. Quite a few of his WAFL league goals were free kicks to another player in the forward line that he then picked up the loose ball played on and kicked an easy goal. I’m willing to give him this year to improve but he is miles off it.

Are there any salary cap negations/unknowns apart from him: no.

So what could the hold up be?

  • An incoming player such as Warner or Kozi.
  • Length of contract.
  • Captaincy.
I’d say there’s a 95% chance it’s already done. They just like to do it as an early Christmas present like Serong and Darcy

Craig is his Uncle.

Interestingly, Brandon was a Freo supporter before he was drafted.
I should have done my homework. Still there is a family connection to Brisbane. I can’t see him leaving regardless of who he supported before playing afl. I hoped that we would get him included into the Neale trade all those years ago. Reckon that ship has sailed.
