I think the fact he only signed for 2 years, when key players are being locked in for 6+ minimum at the moment, says the most about where his head is at.

I don't think it's a bad result for anyone, West Coast included.
They can't afford to be giving up high picks right now, so this leaves it open to him joining them in a couple of years when they'll still have heaps of salary space.
Equally things might change for us with player movement, or they might not.
Whan's still not in any top 25 mock Ive seen.Optimistic.
He keeps doing what he’s doing and we’re going to need more points so we don’t go into deficit for Robinson in 2026
Young, Noddy and Johnson should be enough, Jackson is shock value.I wouldn't count on Robinson jumping straight into performing in two years. So yeah, always look for a big bodied mid.
Or play O'Driscoll there...
More money for the BontNot at all phased by the Chad Warner news. As well as he plays, he seems like a knob that I'd rather not be playing for Freo.
Our midfield would do better to include guys like Murphy Reid, build up others such as Cooper Simpson and have Youngey and Driz to be the attacking midfielders.
Other than that - we'd pay a hefty price and if we're any chance to get picket then we're sacrificing future development through loss of draft potential and slumping long-term ala West Coast.
More money to extend BruceMore money for the Bont
If you’re Freo, quite often unfortunately. How often do clubs under perform?
When i said i wasnt sure about giving away 3 first round picks i meant Kozzy, not Bolton, it was a typo!Gave away 10,11,18 for Shai Bolton and Murphy Reid. You might be the only one unhappy with that.
Ffs .. I have Scottish heritage so am excessively tight fisted & a pessimist to bootAs a noted big trade detractor, especially Jackson, going through and looking at the trades and the players picked it's not as bad as you think.
Bolton was effectively done for a late first plus an early second when you consider the swaps and Reid.
Jackson more costly but still a bit of a wash when you consider where the picks fell. Just bugs me we are year 3 of him and still not sure what his best position is, but that is mainly an injury issue.

Tell that to the wc evilsFuture firsts all mean the same thing.
100% wrong about him as a personNot at all phased by the Chad Warner news. As well as he plays, he seems like a knob that I'd rather not be playing for Freo.

Strange to me. Shouldn’t the best underage players be playing?Robinson is part of the squad as a train-on, shouldn't have any issue making the final squad tbh
My understanding is they do. Many of the best ones over the years have even been All Australian at national u18 level a year early. There's plenty of dual AAs at u18 level.Strange to me. Shouldn’t the best underage players be playing?
It’s really 2 first round picks. When i said i wasnt sure about giving away 3 first round picks i meant Kozzy, not Bolton, it was a typo!
(Fixed now)
Im not unhappy with the Bruce/ Shai for three first round picks.
