They’re all getting regular games bar Sturt who is injured.

If we believe they’re good enough, there’s someone responsible for their lack of development.

I’d take Pickett over just about every player we have bar Bolton, Young and Brayshaw…and Andy is shaky

Recency bias. Brayshaw significantly better player. Our defense was all at sea. Plenty of teams have defenders that nullify him well. We do, but Chapman didn’t play.

Chapman was building so well this year.

Geelong - 33.3% of his 3 kicks were effective. (1 effective, 2 ineffective)
Sydney - 62.5% of his 8 kicks were effective. (5 effective, 3 ineffective)
West Coast - 90% of his 10 kicks were effective. (9 effective, 1 ineffective)
Bulldogs - 100% of his 8 kicks were effective. (8 effective, 0 ineffective)
Tigers - 83.3% of his 18 kicks were effective. (15 effective, 3 ineffective)

Starting to doubt selecting Simpson over Mannagh. The latter aligned so well with age demographic and what we desperately needed. Hope Simpson proves me wrong.
I'm more worried about missing Freijah

We had multiple links with him pre draft, then Murphy slid so far and we took him

Freijah would be perfect for us rn

Geelong are the masters of getting in mature bodies and don’t need to wait for performance.

Bice would have been a good pick up over Nicholls who will take 3-4 years to develop.

The club has to rule a line through a few of these bottom rated players.
Pretty easy to see that Fyfe, Walters, Aish are done.
We need another 3 players to be moved on too.
We have some talent through NGA, so luck is finally on our side to cut hard.
Problem is this organisation hasn’t made any tough decisions yet.

Oscar McDonald, Odin Jones, Neil Erasmus, Ollie Murphy, Jack Delean and Hugh Davies all need to finish the year well to stay on the list assuming they're out of contract.

Last time we got a package it included Zac Dawson haha

Zach Dawson was better than Brennan Cox on current form.

I could argue we make the 8 last year with peak Zach Dawson. He had his flaws but Hogan and Stringer don't kick big bags that last month on Dawson.

Melbourne are trying the 'art of the deal' - asking for a ridiculous/unreasonable amount and ending up with the most they can scrounge.

We have to get Kozzie without giving up any of our forwards AND make them pay for the wall.

3 first round picks sounds a lot. But assuming we make the 8 this year our pick after academy,F/S etc could be about 15. Then Kozzie makes us a much better side so say pick 20 the year after. Then 2017 is the Tassie draft so if we're top 4 around pick 30.

Is picks 15, 20 and 30 fair? Looks about right for a guy that beat us single handedly, maybe 2 x 3rd rounders coming back.

If someone offered 15 + 20 + 30 for Hayden Young would you take it? Don't think I would.

Hugh Davies, signed until 2026. As is Ollie Murphy.

Entirely appropriate for young talls to be signed that long too.
