I really hope Phillipou returns and plays as well as we are expecting him to. Because if he is anywhere close to how disappointing Henry was tonight, we're in for a lot of pain I suspect

Where we lost today was clearances, Henry is an outsider, there were a few who thought he might become an insider. they were dreaming. Pou "migt " be.

I think a lot of us would've expected Henry to at least come in, play his role as a half forward/sporadic CBA guy and have a few moments without setting the world on fire. Maybe 15 touches a goal and a few score involvements

Had zero of that

Just hope Pou doesn't come in and stink it up with 10 touches 1 clearance subbed off before 3QT kinda thing

Henry can play but last year he was also unseen after coming back from injury. He'll need a few weeks to get up to speed but TBH l think he should work the cobwebs out in VFL.

We were slaughtered at ground level last night but even there small/medium players were out marking us at nearly every contest.

Marshall is playing injured and is in the worst form I have seen him at present, he needs help. I totally agree re Heath he is not perfect and it would be a tough ask to come in play on Harris Andrews, but at least you know you will get an honest contest from Max. Plus he can take a contested mark and is hard to move off the ball when he launches.

Having the big forward will allow Sharman and Owens become more dangerous. The other thing Max will do is give you a big physical body at clearance contests, he throws his weight around and fights for the ball. Again it will be a huge ask against Brisbane up there but what have we got to lose.

Problem is:
Steele - Inside, Contested, Defensive, Slow
Garcia - Inside, Contested, Defensive
Windhager - Inside/Outside, contested, defensive
Macrae - Inside/Outside, offensive (but doesn't go forward and kick goals
Boxshall - Inside, Contested, Defensive
Clark - Inside, NFI

Phillipou has a point of difference, but if you drop Jones for Boxshall it's the same midfield type throughout.

I would anchor Nas on ball as much as possible and bring Travaglia back in. Has shown at VFL level he can go forward and kick goals.

Desperately need that offensive mid weapon. Henry won't be that for some time, if ever.

If you’d watched Herny stink it up in the VFL for 2 weeks you shouldn’t be surprised with his non performance last night. I’m not a coach’s arseh*le, but thought it was pretty obvious he was no where near ready yet.

Must give Boxshall an opportunity this week and get Trav back in.

If Marshall and Steele aren’t injured then we have a big problem. Unleash the Moose.

My issue is as a club we believe these kids can come in a make a difference, they wont for sometime. Have a look at the Dogs midfield last night apart from Freijah they were all older mature bodies with many games under their belts. The kids will be good but they need leadership and senior bodies around them and we just dont have that.

Yes we recruited McRae but he has been sat on the last two weeks and fallen away badly, Steele is a shell of his past self, Jones is cooked and the rest injured. We have Dow and Carroll on the list but as per the norm they are injured and is there any hope Dow will ever make it back.

They won’t make a difference until around 50 games into them
I would rather start getting those games into them than playing Steele Jones and Hill

Get games into them this this year to make us better next year and beyond
If they are showing enough at VFL level
