I didn't post my letter prediction before the start of the season but if I remember what I would have posted this is what I came up with:

1) Hawthorn

2) Fremantle

3) Brisbane

4) GWS

5) Sydney

6) Geelong

7) Bulldogs

8) Collingwood

9) St Kilda

10) Adelaide

11) Gold Coast

12) Port Adelaide

13) Essendon

14) North Melbourne

Well after last week obviously you would, but they beat possibly the second worst team in the competition right now. I would be tempered for a couple weeks on North.

Next week they travel to Adelaide and they don't even need to win, they just need to show they're competitive.

The week after they have Sydney at Marvel, another telling audit. 8 months ago they lost by 80 points to them, so if they have certainly turned the corner, they should do much better than that performance, maybe even win.

So far from Collingwood we've seen utter dross, a massive trumping then an arm wrestle against a weakened opponent and unprecedented umpire assistance.

I actually have no idea if they're good for a run at the top 4 or fighting with 5 others teams to sneak into 8th.

Big two weeks. Competitive against Adelaide - the toughest trip going round as of this moment - is a good result. A win would see the lid off (before a likely crash to earth). If North can pinch one of the next 2 things will get interesting.

As a completely unbiased observer, I think that needs to happen for the good of the game. Especially Carlton.
