Tackling machine, would score well given a full game that isn’t sub affected.

If he’s named wouldn’t be a bad pick.

Having a good preseason. Huge tackler, even last year in his first few games of AFL footy he tackles like a champ. Defs should be a lot of opportunity to get some game time with all their injuries. I think he's a solid pick if he's named in the 22.

With Pou, Clark and Dow injured, that only leaves Steele, Macrae, Windy, ZJones, Carroll and Harcia I think. ZJones is probably done, so you'd expect Harcia to be ahead. If I'm not mistaken, Max Hall is playing as a forward and Byrnes/Trav/Wilson play on the outside.

Awkward price, but he could tackle his way to a 70-80 average.

Was always going to happen when people inevitably revert to more GnR as the season gets closer though. Guy averaged 100 (minus injury game) from only 39% CBAs (for the season) last year. All the talk is about him upping his mid time, so it's a no-brainer really.

Yes IMO, although teams have previously been tagging him at ball-ups, without huge success

Should free up the likes of Dawson ....who do oppo clubs assign the tag to ?

Very hard to tag a bloke that can go forward and kick 3 goals in a quarter. Those mid/forward types are the hardest to tag, because they'll drag their midfield tagger in the forwardline where they are uncomfortable. I'm not worried about a tag with Rankine. He can still pump out respectable scores if he's forced to play forward every now and then.

100%, 100k difference is massive and Sanders still with the potential to be Bevo'd
Sanders could be 95 or could be 75, his margin of outcomes is too big for me at his price

Think you've got to take at least one – easy keepers at decent value in a line that's extremely volatile and unpredictable.

I've got both, but if I was only picking one, it'd probably be JHF (more durable, and my gut feel is that he's more likely to break out into a true top-liner). That being said, it's a tough call – another reason why I'm happy to take both. Each will be be set-and-forget.
