Anybody heard any rumours re telecast? The AFL has some unofficial scratchies being telecast and others have no mention .

No break in this early fixture. To travel 4 times in the first 6 rounds is ridiculous including a trip to Brissy in those conditions. While Freo get 3 games in a row at home at the start the season.

The flip side of this is between rounds 10 and 20 where we play once in Melbourne, twice in Adelaide and the rest in WA. Swings and roundabouts.

Definitely but you still like an easier start to the season with we’re we are at imo.

Compared to the Crows who start the season with 4 of the first 6 at home and the first 4 against non finalist in 2024.

A good run home would be ideal if you were expecting finals action. Maybe it might build some momentum for 2026.

Not really.

It's worthless getting a good run at the middle and end of the year.

As a young travelling side, you can be broken by round 10 if you keep getting pumped.
Same thing happened to us last year.

Had Port away, followed by GWS, Bulldogs and Sydney (Gather round).
So 1 home game in the first 4 rounds against all good sides.

How hard would it have been this year to give us Richmond, North, Essendon or the Saints in our first 6?

This is where I loved Mini's approach after the Suns' game. We know what we're trying to do, we know what we didn't do, we don't panic, we don't make excuses, we address the problem and we go out an execute.

Don't make excuses. Embrace the challenge. You know damn well the club will be.

Of course the club won't make excuses.
But Blind Freddie can see we've been shafted.

I think they got us confused with another team.
Only 3 Sunday avo games??? yeah right.
Whens the real fixture come out 🤣

The bloke on here earlier who wanted the GWS game to fall on Saturday or Sunday for travel purposes might be a bit pissed.
Friday is a surprise. At least I got the Richmond game correct.

4:40pm Sunday (Melb time) for the Doggies game R23? Really?
Yeah, I'd be kicking a stink up about this if I were WC management.

Suppose the only counter point is we aren't finals bound and neither are the swannies. That R24 game will most likely be Sunday 330

Dead rubbers are the early Saturday games. They want to build the suspense and have the 3 most important games on Sunday.

I think every team we play at Optus comes in with extra days break, they love prepping the teams coming across for that trip. (Besides Freo but we are the away team) It was the same last year.

Saturday night game in Melbourne before a Friday night home game is bizarre too. Whether we requested the night game in Melbourne or not I'm not sure but can't imagine they'd be thrilled about getting home after midnight into a 6 day break

I tracked it last year and we got screwed with this stuff. With all the equalisation talk I thought I’d see how it played out this year. No better.

Home games
Rd 1- Same
Rd 3 - Same (Derby)
Rd 6- Same Dons
Rd 8- Dees get 3 days extra
Rd 10- Saints 2 days extra
Rd 12 - Cats 3 days ectra
Rd 14- Roos have the bye the week before (Bunbury)
Rd15- Same (Blues)
Rd 17- Giants after they have the bye
Rd 19- Tigers get 1 extra
RD20 - Freo (away) we get an extra day
RD21- Crows get an extra day

A lot of teams seem to play Thursday or Friday night before travelling to play us
