I actually hate marquee time slots that feature the same games every year. Sure have the time slot, but rotate the teams. Just do it by ladder position the previous year.
1st v 3rd opens the season on Thursday
2nd v 4th is Easter Monday etc
We’d be way more inclined to get good games on TV and teams will be more commercially successful the better they are as opposed to minnows getting peanuts.

Yeah was always funny when they would market the huge blockbuster opening to the season every year as Carlton v Richmond when they were both cellar dwellers
Would kill for some flat track bullying where we're the bullies for once.

One of them always seems to be a cellar dweller though. Not many years when both have made the 8.
I hate the fixture because it's not traditional (they only started it in late 2000s) and is usually a mismatched game.

Surely they can’t be wearing this as their away to us at Optus in R1? Clash strip needed straight up for their first outing??
