He played midfield against Port. He’s just no good, never been a great fantasy scorer and is a defensive mid.
Not sure what game you were watching but zero CBA’s and that heat map doesn’t show a midfield role.

This was vs Bulldogs, where he got moved. I think he’ll bounce back against Carlton.

I've been on Ashcroft all week but have switched to Rankine in the last hour.
Rankine likely top 6 fwd. WAshcroft may not be top 8 mid.
Washcroft is my alternative Brisbane mid should I decide to forego Dunks and hold Lindsay… Clug also presents value too for a Lions mid perspective…. Both are little chance of copping tags too

Going to take a hit this week

But allows me to do a double upgrade of SDK+Sanders (to a Mid and a def around 1 mill) as we head into Best 22 weeks next week.

Maric does come up against two very hard teams for defenders to score against in the next two (GWS and Carlton), but I gather the ball is going to be there enough for him to still get a 70.

The other option was
Out: Taranot, Leake
In: Daicos, Moraes

Which sets up the ability to do an upgrade of one of Sanders/SDK next week as opposed to both. So the outcome of above is getting in Maric (instead of a rookie downgrade next week) and then upgrading both SDK+Sanders rather than one. The risk of course is copping bullets and forced trades with such a large amount in the bank, and the weaker side I am putting out this week (although on current form, Maric is on par with Taranto).

Struggling with trades big time. Dropped a couple k in the ranks last week, looking at a rookie fix up this week which could mean i take another hit in the ranks and if i do Campo and Leake as a fix up it means i loose about 80k in doing it to leave myself about 30k for next week. That could mean i can't make any meaningful improvements 3 weeks in a row which is a big worry.

Has George Hewett been tagging for Carlton? Keen to get Daicos in but might avoid if he’ll get tagged against Carlton because it seems a forgone conclusion he will be tagged against Sydney. Willing to wear the Sydney tag game as I still think he’ll be a top 8 mid.

Otherwise looking at Tom Green as he has a tasty run coming up.

If you are tossing up between who to get rid of between the two. GWS have a lot of late round games coming up meaning he will be a perfect loop option for your DEF rookie scores

how much cash are you carrying into next week? How much is too much?

I think only Cottrell has tagged so far (Jayden Short) and even he's out this week.

644k
The plan is to spend that on Sanders and SDK (both around 670-690k next week) which gets me a mid and def around the mil mark. Like the look of Holmes in DEF and then not sure on the midfielder.

Typically I never build up that much reserve, but I think if there is a time you can do it its a best 18 round.

should I fix Jhf and day now, probably should of done it last week , Jhf got a decent run coming and will probably kill it , but if I want Zorko both have to go

Jhf and day to maric and moraes
This gets me Leake to Zorko

The podcasters are mostly saying prioritize your cash gen.

There is no right answer in this game, unless you have a time machine.
But you don't because if you are playing this game and have a time machine you are doing it all wrong.

lol that’s right , day not playing and Zorko could be a big capt choice , im doing it unless someone that actually owns a Time Machine can tell otherwise

Need to basically decide by tonight but have narrowed it down to two scenarios

My original idea

Lindsay for Bice
Crippa for Dunks (Need to move Crippa on before he tanks too much cash)

Sacrifice Lindsay but get Dunks who's a season keeper and I have 46k, it's a decision I've mulled all week over

My alternate idea

Campo for Bice
Crippa for Washcroft

Keep Lindsay and take 180k into next week, and cross my fingers Will can go big against the tigs and score similar to Dunks

Feel much more comfy picking Dunks as he's also a VC/C option, and I potentially could be clever and try and trade Lindsay back in next week if he's fit to play....

Perryman to Noble feels the sensible thing to do but I'm also conscious of starting to build a bank as I'd love to get Brayshaw in before they have Richmond next week..

Is De Koning to Bowey a move?

Bowey BE 44, scores of 87, 93, 98 and sits 11th of all Defenders.

If Geel name Stanley, I think we can safely say SDK won't get many hitouts, and could be looking at a score of 40-60

Only a $43k upgrade from SDK this week, and Bowey could be a smokey to be a keeper.

Moraes in is also a must, so bringing in Bowey would likely rule out bringing in Curtin / Corey Warner.

SDK isn't a primary hit out merchant and it's his follow up around the ground that nets him points, he'll definitely get out-hit-outed :cautiousv1: by big Maxy this week. Hopefully can get on his bike and find the grunt he brought in R1. If Stanley is named you'd have to wonder what the role will be?

Not a primary, but still got him 20 points extra each week.
If he's back to CHB, he will likely get 0-5 hitouts (and as you highlighted, will be around the ball less).

Assuming no other injury carnage, which out of:

1. Hollands -> Bice via DPP, Campo -> Moraes (Banks 300k)

2. Hollands -> Maric, Campo -> Moraes (Banks 100k)

Want to bank enough cash for a big upgrade next week but don’t want to miss out on Maric if he’s the real deal. Thoughts?
