Yeh, I know. The last 2 years since I came back, I've had to keep a rookie on field til that late in the season. This is because I often will choose the higher priced more reliable player, than save the money with the undervalued player. As a result, I get stuck with 1-2 rookies for those last 6 or so weeks while other teams have complete teams.

I don’t think trading to a few lock top players at the start is the worst idea, especially if you have good cash gen going

Probably not the thing to do if you want the car but I find it more fun trading up to premo’s and watching them play than some of the mid-priced guys.

or keep COS for another week and go

I feel like if I dont go Maric now, I'll miss the boat, whereas Bice can be brought in next week still maybe?

Also can go sdk to Bice, if Stanley is named, and upgrade COS to maybe stewart or mills the week after

Complete team generally just means all rookies off the field and most players being semi-reliable 80+ scorers lol.
Once you get all the rookies off field for decent mid pricers you're good.

Full premo team is like round 18 or later for the top teams(depends on the year)

I tend to stop bringing in mid-pricers after about round 5/6 unless they are extreme value / potential keepers, like someone like a Callum Mills may be soon.

It’s basically him or someone like Dunks, who’s a lot more pricey but has a better track record and a better run ahead, I have Dunks as my in currently but bringing in a Libba means I can hold Lindsay.

Libba pick has trade written all over it once Bont and Treloar are back. His CBA's are up 10% and he's getting more of the outside link up ball through the middle they would be getting.

Admittedly that is still a month away but I wouldn't want one of my premos I bring in now to be problems later.

As much as I’ve loved owning him from the start, I wouldn’t trade him in now, for the reasons you’ve mentioned. For me it was start him at sub-900k and hopefully enjoy some uber-premo scores while there’s no Treloar or Bont, then get rid of him when they’re back. Treloar taking longer to come back than initially forecast is a bonus (although not so good for Trel ).

I don’t think it’s worth trading into a guy who’s now nearly a million dollars when you’ll likely have to trade him out in a month or so.

Lemon seems to think he could come back in, in the next few weeks. But i think id just rather fix it up over hoping he does.

My philosophy on trading rookies with low BE’s is to not trade them until there is some meat on the bone .. otherwise what is the point really?

Campo will come back into the side at some point and his cash gen will start up again.

But if he doesnt come in, in the next few weeks and you miss out on say Moraes or even Maric then you're going to lose alot of cash gen.

I'm thinking of holding Lindsay because he won't be worthwhile getting later in upgrade season, it will affect the upgrade too much but Campo is a future downgrade option.
