His reference point should be Ziebell imo. The young players are going to look for him and he's smart enough to get to the spots where they'll be able to get him the ball. Even if it's under duress and he's hoofing it a high % of the time.
Edit to add - there's a stack of options around that price point, so I'm not too fussed starting him given his high ownership, can always even punt him down to SDK or Kiddy after a few weeks and pocket the cash to spend elsewhere.
Yes that's right. There are also a stack of good DEF options with the Round 3 bye (e.g. Holmes, Humphries, Roberts, Houston, Perryman) that you could sideways/mini-upgrade Short to ahead of Round 4 if he's not working out.
