Anyone care to shed some light on this guy .. Did not watch Rd 1, and honestly did not notice him apart from his intercept and goal against us on the weekend. Scores of 109 and 100 so far at 370k is really hard to turn down.

Role looks like he's playing on ball / floating between half back?

Apparently he's being called the right footed Bont .....he's being used as a bit of a utility currently, running the ball out of D50, with spurts in the midfield

Quality player, currently averaging 100 .....great starting pick, maybe a bit more MID time ....that's what we need to watch for, those CBA's

Treloar's had a setback, Bont's still a few weeks away, and Sanders isn't effective in the midfield. Freijah should keep getting runs through the midfield for a while yet, and he's an effective scorer off half back too.

Freijah is a beautiful kick and great decision maker ....has great spacial awareness of players around him

When the mids come back in does he move back to hbf? How does that effect Dale?

One of those players who seems to have an extra second every time he needs to make a decision. Sanders was pick 6 and Freijah 45, and I know who'd currently go higher in a redraft.

Salem? Always plagued by injuries. Never had the lead HBF role fully as his own before. Was mopping up everything against the kangaroos. DE a worry. Anyone going there?

Will never be Top 6 so you'd need him to hit mid-$500k range to make it worth it. He hasn't hit that price range since 2021 and the bloke turns 30 this year. Hard pass.

Would consider Bowey to be that stepping stone at the Dees, but McVee isn't that far away and may impact his ceiling.

One thing to note is that he has been scoring the bulk of his points in the 2nd half - is that an outlier that will correct with better first halves, or are the first halves is real base and has he benefitted from in game circumstances (North Melbourne traffic cones week 1) and close game scaling in Week 2 with a 20 point boost from a goal.

80 point 2nd half week 1, 73 point 2nd half week 2.

I've been keeping an eye on him as he's going to be a gun, and you would be stoked if you started him, I just think he's a trade in that has some risks. 30% cbas is not that many., but on the flip side. could he also benefit from Dale likely copping some attention soon?

I can see him regressing to 80's which at 370k is not ideal, but if you think he can keep at 90+ then he's a good trade in with the price rise incoming as well until the def line stabilises a bit.
