Smillie mid. arent we still screaming out for them.Pretty sure we will play Lalor too if he gets up to speed after christmas.

Fawcett kpf. well we need to play three talls to ensure kids get senior exposure. Only Lynch would be a certainty. With Lynch and Fawcett they probably should go the smaller Bauer or play a ruck chop out for Nank in Sims.

Blight kpd. unlikey at this stage that Gibcus will play early games. Blight has competition with only Miller and Young atm, Balta will be a lock.

Still what i hope to see being realistic about senior players but still focusing on the need to play our share of kids. Injecting pace into the team is also a must and at least trying to find forwards who can impact the scoreboard.

Vlastuin - Blight - Broad/Trainor. IF Trainor does show enough then Broad to the bench.
Smith - Balta - Brown. Playing Smith in front of Short every day. in fact im playing anyone in front of him

Campbell - Taranto - Banks. How anyone can think McIntosh is the way fwd is beyond reasoning.
Nankervis - Smillie - Prestia. Id be tempted to play Ryan instead of Nankervis but not both.

Mansell - Fawcett - Clarke/Rioli. Mansell not my favorite but im rewarding him on his season.
Alger - Lynch - Bauer/Sims. Speaks for itself. Either 3 talls or two with a fwd/ruck. Alger looks a goal kicker.

McAuliffe - Hopper - H-RS - Lalor. Dont buy into players having to start games all are mid rotations
Ross/Trezise.

For me the issue with Ross is that he is an inside midfielder trying to play a wing/HF role, which doesn't suit his strengths. At the moment I don't have him ahead of Taranto Hopper or Prestia as a starting midfielder and I prefer the likes of McAuliffe and Smillie as the rotations midfielders as they offer a point of difference with their size(Smillie) and left footer(McAuliffe).

As far as the outside midfield/flanker positions go, I have KMac Hugo Banks & Campbell ahead of Ross as the first 3 can also play across HB, while Campbell showed he can be dangerous as a high HF that kicks goals but can also link up through the midfield with his speed.
