What if we actually don't see Dowling and Edwards as midfielders ??
Then that would be greatly disappointing in regards to Edwards , whole watching Crouch showed great potential when shifted into the midfield last year.

Don’t disagree on Dowling who’s probably more suited to HF/wing than inside mid.

I mean i think he's a midfielder too, but I'd happily slot him onto a flank to start his AFL career

Pedlar to me has always looked like a player who has the "i might give a **** today" attitude.

Shaping up to be a big waste of AFL level ability

Will end up getting paid good money to dominate country footy and drink piss. And he will be happy about it.

Like any job the AFL system is not for everyone.

The real world can be a bit harder than many ex footballers think. Country football money is good but it's not a career and people forget about you quickly. It's a hard transition.

Still you have to do what you enjoy.

I was concerned Nicksy would rush Smith back and anything is possible but he looks like SANFL level is catching up with him.

I've thought all along he might go mid season if he can’t get a game and today didn't change my mind. Brodie would be keen for a job at the club so that might be how we negotiate a mid season exit.

Lots of the boys really struggled today. Worse game I’ve seen Billy play. Jones also just can’t find the pill. Sholl was poor until the last qr. he looked gassed from the start.

Berry our best and tried hard. Draper good too but must learn to kick more and use his pace to advantage. Senior players kept telling him to kick ball

McAndrew tried hard and was left to do too much. The loss of ibis has hurt us badly. Macca gave our boys first use much of the time

Smith was one of our better back man together with Bond particularly in the first half

Pedlar did some good things but his basic skills still let him down

Harry and Murphy were serviceable Murphy only after half time

Welsh and the Irishman were underwhelming

Edwards did some nice things but gets a lot of uncontested possession. I want to see him win more contested ball

Ryan not quite up to last years form

Pretty much what I saw.

Smith was a bit too good for my liking, it'll be mighty tempting for selectors

I'm bemused by the definition of "intercept" marks.
Most of our forward entries went straight onto the chest of the oppo, who were then praised for a nice intercept mark!
Surely, the clue is in the word "intercept"?

The highlight was when some Eagles player was praised for 5 intercept marks, already, "all from the boots of the opposition". :)

Whos training these ****n morons..

Why the ****, with the wind at their backs, are they fuxkn around using dozen’s of dumb cute handballs out of defense.

This club needs a massive clean out of its coaching staff..

Get rid of them all

Can we sack Godden and then keep him around for the LOLs again? Be a shame if we didn't.

Dominating is a stretch, not a lot of hurt factor especially considering we had the wing at our back.

Yeh, the wind impacts ground ball actions. You're not worried he'll take the spot of your little crab mate? Don't worry, he's not past Peatling yet and Crab Crouch is ahead of both of them.

I thought Ryan was a little bit better than Edwards today

Agree with you on Edwards today , he was just cruising around doing easy stuff , wanted to see him compete and explode

Bond was very clean and just a Classic role player that you can trust . Would help unleash Max while hinge is out

Schoenberg impressed me

Draper was unreal other than his kicking which will definitely require some work in years ahead
