Imagine, for a moment, the insurrection plans didn’t fail. And you have to remember the angry mob was plan D, there was a lot of other moving parts.

What would that have represented? The election would have been given to the candidate that didn’t win it. What does that look like for America? You think people just sit at home and are happy with the flagrant betrayal of democracy? It would have ripped the country apart at the seams.

That’s pretty damn extreme to me.

COVID response, impeached twice and refused to concede a fair election that he lost inciting a large group of supporters to run riot on Jan 6th. Also sexism, racism and obviously very unstable and unpredictable.

I'll start. Deportations.

Immigrants he claimed to empathise with, he promised to protect as Syrian Christians in danger from militant Islam. Once elected, he deported many of them, or retracted their visas.

His first term was testing who was 100% loyal to HIM, not to his country, and weeding out any who opposed him.
His first term was capturing SCOTUS, removing checks and balances.
His first term was setting things up.
Fortunately there were some under him with some moral fortitude left who were able to control his bad decisions to some degree.
His next administration will not.

I think there is a negative bias when it comes to this election, what I mean by that is a lot more people feeling a sense of dread from the 2016 experience that it's easier to go with a degree of pessimism than being openly optimistic.

Now does that mean I think Trump will win or lose, I am still in the camp that the EC favors him. Does that mean Harris was a colossal failure, no I don't, back when Biden was in the running, this one was not even close and would have been a landslide. Being this close and making this race so interesting given incumbency over one of the higher inflationary periods is an achievement in itself.

Just want to say that the Cheney's are horrible human beings, and should never be allowed near a position of power.

MAGA and Trump are partially the fault of Dick Cheney. And this was his dream.

The only reason that Dick Cheney and Liz Cheney are not 'MAGA', is because they realised they were losing control and power. And they were being pushed outside.

They are not doing anything for the betterment or benefit of the US or its people.
They are doing everything they can to get shadow control back.

They are horrible people.

I think 'identity' is a better descriptor than 'ideology'.*

And most of us do that. Those who aren't self-identified (or occasional) swingers.

* For some there is an ideology, of sorts, underlying their identity. But for many there isn't.
