Sure take her endorsement but don’t make her front and centre of your campaign.

As I have said the Dems need to get out of their heads neocon disaffected republicans are their friends.

The Town Halls Q&A have been with undecided Republicans. They are not forced to be there.

I don't see it as a front and centre of the Harris campaign, just another avenue for votes. Not unlike appealing to Hispanics, African Americans, females etc.

They might not like Cheney but perhaps they like that she has distanced herself from MAGA.

One vote from them for Harris is one Trump doesn't get so in such a tight race every vote is important.

I see those disenfranchised Republican voters as either they don't vote or vote for Harris and there a a big number that went for Haley and not Trump.

He truly is the greatest Teflon coated conman in history. Anyone else with that much baggage would be in jail or worse but he’s made it to 78, still in the running for POTUS and unlikely to face any real accountability for his actions before he eventually dies.

I think it could be inertia in that they have found something they can latch onto, be a part of. It's hard breaking away from something like that. Like kids in the hood joining a gang because it gives them a sense of belonging. If they ever do actually find an alternative, they will go overboard with commitment there as well. IMO.

Whatever Trump does, it will not cost support. He has successfully crafted a cult of personality, where his most ardent supporters will believe it if he says the sky is purple and that Kamala Harris is a lizard woman in league with Muslim Nazis to take over the White House. He could murder a kitten in broad daylight with a thousand cameras watching, and his supporters will say it's fake news or the kitten asked for it.

What will matter is getting others to vote, because his core still (thankfully) makes up a small minority of the total voting population. Harris should focus on getting those non-cultist voters to turn up and vote Democrat just to keep Trump out. It worked for Biden. Posting in echo chambers on Reddit about the latest stupid shit Trump did does not win elections.

I have since read all about Cheney on these forums but don't get the relevance of him in 2024.

I think that Liz Cheney is very brave to do what she did on the Jan 6 committee and advocating for 'not Trump'.

Her career as a politician is finished as far as the majority of Republicans are concerned, so good on her putting country before party and political ambition.

I think he is just an arch-GOP totem especially for the boomers. Younger gens would equate Cheney with Liz.
