No trades for me. Giving Fisher and Martin another shot at it, reckon people trading them are overreacting to bad games
Most people are doing it to fund other trades or restructure.

eg. Gibcus to Massimo needs $80k, ZReid to Massimo needs $100k+.
or
eg. NMartin to a rookie allows you to Gibcus/ZReid to a Houston/Stewart/Ryan/etc.

If you have Zilliams, Gibcus and ZReid, you're one scorer down this week unless you bring Mass or a premo DEF in.

Once Hunter comes back Billings will go to s**t again without the wing time. Melbourne's game plan isn't to chip it around and have multiple guys on 10+ marks, last week will likely be Billings best game of the year
Hunter is 2 weeks away with a calf. Does he come straight back in or go to the VFL?

4 price rises from Billings until his bye.

If he averages 65 he'll be ~$320k
75 avg and he'll be ~$370k
85 avg and he'll be over $400k

Lazzaro didn't pass the eye test.

Currently traded him to Berry, purely for the cash gen it will produce in the next few weeks. Last chance to get Berry as well.

Going into the season with no salary left in the bank has hurt. Moved on D'Ambrosio right before the round started now I have no idea how to bring him in, even next week. May end up having to be Zac Williams who goes if Mass scores well again.

He’d be a good pick if he had DDP like he was when playing for the Lions only 2 years ago when he averaged 85 in the VFL

Makes sense but I wouldn't be blowing the whole team up to get Massimo in, scoring most weeks won't be as good as last week as a winger in a bad team

Williams and Martin not the ideal start but keeping the faith in them.
Gibcus to Berry is a done deal.
50/50 on Fisher to Billings, would love to bank the $$$$.
Following week a rookie or 2 for correction trade to get the cash going on the bench.
How did/do you manage Gibcus to Berry?

Moving Fisher on isn't exactly blowing up the whole team. He's sharing chips with Sheez and Kerch, and the young ones are showing more class and poise.

I can afford Massimo from Gibcus in one. Fisher to Billings gives you money for other trades, and no reason why Billings can't average 80-90 playing to his strengths (positioning and marking) and without the pressure of trying to be a superstar that got compared to Bont his entire career.

His 104 is in his price cycle for 2 rounds. No other rookie has anything close to that. Every rookie score this week that didn't play R0 has their score for 1 cycle only. No hypotheticals about what he might do, the 62 and 104 are locked in. Also his JS is clearly good.

He's not making a one time 60k, he's making 80k over his next two games even if he drops back to back 40s because of having the 104 there for two rounds. Two 55's and it's 100k. He has another largish score, well, you can figure it out.

It's weird seeing Berry ignored AFAIC, since when it comes to rookies, scores in the cycle along with JS are combined more important than hypotheticals about role and what people think their scoring output might be because of it. Rookies that people project to do well s**t the bed all the time, messing with their cash gen because most have zero history at AFL level or are too early in their development cycle to accurately predict.

People trading rookies in that aren't on the bubble at all is much weirder from a historical SC trading principal, than getting a bubble rook with a -75 BE.
Early contender for post of the round.

The folk talking down the obvious rookie are probably the same that are busy sideways trading premo's this week.

And they will be the ones complaining they have no money for upgrades in a few month's.
And complaining when the premo they turfed for scoring badly pumps out a 120 this week.
