To further my enjoyment of this game, I currently have 2 Japanese homestay students who learned about footy at school on Wednesday and the first ever game they watched was this one, so seeing Carlton in a rousing win like this was very cool. The boys have loved it and are so into they we watched games every night over the wknd, as well as go to the Suns game on Sunday. They asked me who we were supporting each game, so obviously I lead them down the correct path

It was almost the perfect weekend of footy, we got to celebrate Collingwood losing & going to GC v Essendon and watching the Bombers lose to cap it all off (& they had a laugh at all the Bombers fans leaving early, one even gave a wave haha). The boys got to live Carltons ideal weekend as their first ever weekend of footy

How was the commentary on the Sam Walsh holding the ball in the last quarter '' you've just got to attempt to throw a boot at it'' says Selwood ...ARE U KIDDING ? He had no hope of throwing a boot at it with players bodies stopping any kicking motion... No prior opportunity either... Ridiculous umpire decision at a crucial moment of the game

Should’ve been a free to Walsh for a high tackle. Ironic Selwood commenting on it given he would have almost certainly got a free for a high tackle in the same circumstance.

I would argue that Big H is close to our most improved player this year. Of course TDK probably just edges him.
If Harry, Charlie, TDK, Weiters and McGov can remain on the park for the rest of the year, no-one is getting near us.
Crippa is crucial as well, having a ripper season.
Fanta and Owies are playing roles, but if Motts can get going and with the return of Martin. They both could be back in the magoos, very soon.

I am convinced that the rumours about coaches votes are true... That they're done by the interns and not even looked at by coaches. Wonder if the best and fairest results show that somewhat.

Yep TDK for me. The past 2 weeks have been AA level and that is what you need when chasing top 2. As many players as possible in the AA discussion.

McKay has been a bit down the past 3 weeks but got back on the scoreboard on Thursday. He still missed a good 3 or 4 marks he probably should have taken in the forward line. He is due a big one this week.
