He is signing with the team so will likely be on the 53 otherwise it would be announced as practice squad otherwise another team would of made a roster offer and he would of gone there.

New York just as bad. The Yankees have a good run every now and then, but that's only because the MLB doesn't have a salary cap

I think Daniel Jones choosing the Vikings shows just how much QBs value the coaching staff and scheme at the Vikings. The signing also gives the Vikings flexibility going into 2025 with the option of replacing Darnold with Jones as the bridge QB for 2025. Who knows how ready McCarthy might be coming off his season ending injury and the option to slowly integrate him into the starting rotation will be a definite asset for 2025.
