I'd be surprised if you found a non-Eagles fan who had Hurts as a top 5 quarterback after the 2024 season.

I think you'd find fewer Eagles fans who think he is after watching him every week.

He's barely in the top 5 QBs left in it this season.

Perfect situation and reverted back to the norm when it got to crunch time. I'd have him somewhere behind Geno Smith.

Put Geno on the Vikings and Darnold in Seattle you think Darnold can do more than Geno has? I think there is a decent chance he gets benched half way thru his first season.

Darnold is the most perfect backup QB you ever will see though, team can still move the ball and put up points if he's forced to start. Plays loose coz it's house money with no expectations.

Geno basically had Darnold's 2024 season in 2022 with Shane Waldron calling plays and less talent around him than Darnold had.

Darnold top 10 for what? Goff who was awful in 1 superbowl appearance and throws pick after pick? Lamar who fails in playoffs year after year? Herbert who fails year after year in playoffs too, if he even makes it?

Mahomes, Allen, Burrow are clearly better than Hurts but outside them I don't think any QB is clearly better, though some may be.

A defense that got better most weeks and finished top 5, best OL in the league, top 2 run game, 2 high quality WRs an above average TE.

You are this years 9ers have everything but a qb and most of the time good enough to compensate for him anyway.

Some of the play calling is bad but it's hurts that makes it worse by taking bad sacks, keeping on reads that should be a handoff, or missing easy reads

The conversation, sure, I agree. But as I said, something always goes wrong, these scenarios play out great on paper but if they were this simple, teams would pull them off all the time.

End of the day, Hurts is the QB this team has been designed around, not Allen or whoever. He (or the team as a whole) seems to have taken protect the ball at all costs to another level where he is willing to take these sacks rather than risk dumping the ball off. It's infuriating as a fan, believe me, but here we are, Birds with one win to go for another chance at a ring & all this with a QB most write off as a dud while most of the rest of these so called studs are off getting some sun somewhere.

I have absolute faith in Hurts to get the job done, no matter how ugly it gets.
