I'd like to see Wilson given a go as sub.Wilson is a player. Moir never been convinced on but has started to show some signs athletically of getting back to the 'freak' he was talked about before his draft year. Speed and agility improved considerably over the season.
Wilson would get split in half right now. He and Binns need to add a lot of weight on before they get a run at AFL level imoI'd like to see Wilson given a go as sub.
Probably not going to happen but far too often this year it's been Hewitt, Kennedy or even Owies as sub and that takes too much away from the team balance.
So we just keep playing the same unskilled players that won't run and handball and we keep getting smashed anyway.Wilson would get split in half right now. He and Binns need to add a lot of weight on before they get a run at AFL level imo
Right there with ya. Joe Berry would be perfect and I think he plays games next yearJoseph Berry please god
Referred to as a "crumbing specialist" I'd wager he would be our best small forward next season. Motlop, Owies, Durdin, Cottrell are woefulRight there with ya. Joe Berry would be perfect and I think he plays games next year
Motlop isn’t woeful imo. He suffered some injury set backs but I think he will be a player for us.Referred to as a "crumbing specialist" I'd wager he would be our best small forward next season. Motlop, Owies, Durdin, Cottrell are woeful
Motlop is a low production, slow goal sneak. We could do much better imo. He's basically Owies 2.0 they just do their damage in a slightly different way.Motlop isn’t woeful imo. He suffered some injury set backs but I think he will be a player for us.
Problem is we seem to keep playing talls and smalls only (well that’s how it feels) in the forward line and the smalls if they don’t kick a goal, render themselves useless when it comes to other factors we need from them. Owies, Motlop and Fogarty had 26 disposals between them. I like Fog with his pressure but 3 smalls doing not too much when it comes to play really sets us back.
Well in the meantime we remove Owies.Motlop is a low production, slow goal sneak. We could do much better imo. He's basically Owies 2.0 they just do their damage in a slightly different way.
There's 3 small forwards I'd take in this draft that I'd back to be better than either within 24 months
I don't think Bergman is going anywhere, he had an interview where he said he'll always have the pull of going home to VIC but is happy with his mates at Port and Landsberger just made it up after thatWell in the meantime we remove Owies.
Let’s just draft Joe Berry and trade for Miles Bergman and Conor Stone and I’ll be happy
Maybe. But we should be asking the question. He’s young and is now finding his feet. Would love him in our midfield in 2025I don't think Bergman is going anywhere, he had an interview where he said he'll always have the pull of going home to VIC but is happy with his mates at Port and Landsberger just made it up after that
Adding those names and the Campos won't get us number 17, they'll just make us fall a little softer.Well in the meantime we remove Owies.

You don’t know that for sure now do you. 5 weeks ago we were premiership favourites.Adding those names and the Campos won't get us number 17, they'll just make us fall a little softer.

Both treacle paced for small forwards, poor below their knees, terrible overhead and find minimal amount of footy per game. There nothing alike.

Berry at 16 would bring a tear to my eyeCourageous, clean and consistent: How Smith jagged No.1 ranking for this year’s AFL draft
He might not be the standout No.1 pick like Harley Reid 12 months ago, but this midfield rubberman from the Oakleigh Chargers has emerged as the probable top selection at year’s AFL national draft.www.theage.com.au

Motlop may kick bananas and snaps in contrast to Owies being a set shot specialist but they are incredibly alike as players. Martin puts them all to shame whenever he gets on the park.
Motlop, Cerra and Cottrell you can argue about injury but I've never been convinced on Motlop from the get go and have been fairly vocal about that for a while. Other than bobbing up for a goal every now and then he does nothing for the team in terms of up the field output, pressure and bringing the ball to ground in the Aeriel contest.Nothing alike.
Motlop is more an agility based player. Not straight line speed. He is our one small forward who has shown he can take half chances because he can be clean, smart and has an instinct for where the goals are. He is not at his best because injury has made a mess of his season.
He is coming back from injury like many others.
Cerra - poor coming back from injury
Cottrell - poor coming back from injury
Notice a pattern.
You did the same thing with Finn O’Sullivan in draft because he hasn’t bounced back to top form after long injury layoff.

There what is? Has Motlop shown anything to suggest he'll end up being an elite small forward? There it is
There’s your bias/agenda.There what is? Has Motlop shown anything to suggest he'll end up being an elite small forward?
Has he ever shown high levels of production up the field or ability in the air? Even when put into the midfield at VFL level he couldn't get near the ball. There’s your bias/agenda.
He’s shown plenty. Watch his footy in the back half of last year.
Had a horror run of injuries this year, and he’s only 20.

He's a goal sneak, hasn't shown anything more than that since he started - hence the comparison to Owies
Unless he's playing on a wing no team is ever going to let Charlie roam anywhere without 3 blokes stuck to him like a bad smell.
The best thing we can do is find some elite kicks so they can hit him on the tit on a lead instead of asking him to mark it in a pack for 15.
