There seemed a genuine “how did he slip so far down the draft” moment from the Fox Footy people about Will Day’s selection. When it comes from neutral observers that’s not too bad an observation. I know it’s their job to add mayo to the proceedings but this seemed genuine enough. (Mind you I’ll take it with the mayo too just quietly)

Are you saying you don’t rate Richards on these attributes? Because I do, so it was praise for Hayes.

There’s a recent enough history of players picked later than their talent reasonably dictated due to their short stature (Neale, Jaicos, Gulden) so here’s hoping!

Hayes may initially play high small forward, probably similar to Richards. Don't see a reason he couldn't eventually play wing if he's good enough as a Sidey, Langdon type.
