Agreed, if the Lions miss out on even just one of the four Hodge boys as a result of this farce, it will be a sad day for the integrity of the competition.

Was it also mentioned that that is an incredibly narrow and misleading way at evaluating the financial returns of clubs to the league.

The sheer existence of northern clubs brings far more money into the game then any Victorian club.

If the AFL had no choice but to sacrifice Hawthorn or Brisbane, it would be a pretty easy decision for them.
