Might try and squeeze in a mid priced mid to move Sharp to the bench….
Just did the same - had Sharpie on the field, and while he went well in the second half - clear instruction to keep his Wing width might mean he misses 24-36pts. Will still make some money though

Wines is the safest bet this year. Dude doesn’t have a ceiling but won’t go under 90 and will stay till at least the byes
As long as he stays off the beers - he likes to be out and about a bit.

As an owner of Wines for a portion of last season all I have to say is Good Luck.

He is the definition of a freeloader.

McDonald might be that D6 we've been searching for.
McDonald's JS is shocking, will be punted early when Cox is fit I'd imagine.
Voss should be on everyones forward bench. He looks like our replacement for Schultz.
Voss won't play round one provided Jackson and Amiss are fit. Voss is a key forward, definitely not a replacement for Schultz.

Fantasy wise, last year seems to be his only shocker. Every other year basically since his debut season has been a minimum of 90 which I’ll definitely be taking at 700k

Shows what I know. Stats at half time made it seem like he was a pressure forward :drunk:

I think last year, being stuck on a WING, was a wakeup call for Wines .....probably saw himself as potential trade-bait, or having his career shortened

Looks to have buckled down, fit, and back in his MID role ....he's been in my side a couple of months now

Wines had no pre-season due to a knee injury is what I understand. A different story this year by the looks.

In the disaster of a forward looks like Jackson Mead could be a cheapie. Scored 90, got an ok amount of CBAs (could be a byproduct of Butters sitting out though). $393k
I expect Mead to play, has been in Port’s best 22 all pre season. He could be a sub risk tho and i think will be split between half forward and mid.

A lot to unpack from last night just in the midfield of each side.

Young 🔒 huge CBAs. Freo guys were right last week that he was moved at half time to allow young blokes a crack.
Wines ✅️ as above
Rozee ❓️played and scored amazing but low CBAs compared to above
Fyfe ❓️ bulk CBAs but handall happy and scored poor
Serong ❓️didn't get the cheapies like he did against poor WC. Prime role though. Should match last season imo.
Butters ❓️injured
Brayshaw ❌️ poor CBAs (clear 4th banana) tried to junk it up but no chance at his price.

another ball winning but massively handball heavy performance from Fyfe solidifies my view to look elsewhere.
Also with Sharp showing hes no better prospect than any other rookies im exploring only 2 on field mid rookies but high number of forward rookies. The mid priced mids can always be moved onto flanders after the bye (or a breakout ive missed who looks safe) to have a more balanced structure and with best 18 so often early on this is probably they year that high risk profile can be a more solid play.

Powell needs to kill it today as he is currenlty F1 in this structure!

Rozee - could a bit of a pod at 7% ownership.
Wines - I was iffy on him coming in but that was a vintage performance
Young - Hard to ignore that type of performance, lock 🔒
Fyfe - He is going to be frustrating, can see him racking up 25 disposals only to score 70. Is that enough?
Brayshaw - i still expect him to score well even on the wing but cant justify starting him
Serong - cant see him averaging any more than last year

IMO Fyfe is a terrible Fantasy pick .....much more relevant SC pick

I'll say the same on Harley Reid ....I've ditched him in Fantasy ....retained him in SC

I’ve ditched Reid as well. Was feeling unsure about it but hearing someone else has gives me comfort at least!

I think there will be better options to Fyfe, but, I think he is not the worst by any means. He handball scored well over his average, but the last 8 years or so he has always been handballs heavier than kicks. This will improve in a game played for 4 pts. He also gave away 4 frees - his career average isn't even 2. So his score last night was at least 10 pts unders with a BE of 54.

I can't recall anyone suggesting he is anything but a bit of an early cash opportunity to get thought the early byes, and he should get his 75's. At the price he has the added advantage of being Fwd/Def, and over the Byes we'll all want some 75+ options to cancel out a rookies 30-60. It's just a question of balance.
