Power 4 and especially SEC/Big10 will never vote for 8AQ spots to champs.

16 is the way to go. Seed them on best teams but conference champs host games even if they are a lower Seed. I would have first 2 rounds on campus. Semis new years day rotating between NY6 and final 2nd weekend in Jan at the Rose Bowl every 2nd year and rotate between the other NY6 or sell to wherever

I know the ACC is looking into naming a conference champ based on record and having 2nd and 3rd best teams play championship weekend in a play in type game for the playoffs. Which seems dumb when they are not guaranteed 2 spots

I just think it is funny that a certain segment screamed long and loud about kneeling

Which was the very definition of free speech enshrined in the constitution

Now coaches and players are literally one upping each others “christianity” and not a peep out of that same segment

Won't be a popular opinion. But playoffs either needs to be 16 teams, or revert to 8. I reckon the long lay off between games hurt the top teams who had the bye, and then faced battle hardened opponents who had played recently. Seen it way to many times to know that momentum is a bigger advantage than extra rest.

Look, by default as a Michigan fan, I should hate your guts. But as one of the better posters on here, I cannot. I appreciate that you grew up with them. Definitely would have been some journey, with long periods of lows. I cannot stand the types that jump on the bandwagons of the Bamas, Ohio State and Georgias of this world.

I started watching the game locally when a family friend started dating a player. He handed me an old school Michgian letterman jacket, and I was into them ever since.

Will be interesting to see how Ohio State matches up with some other teams having bigger financial pull when it comes to the age of NIL. We need a strong Ohio State out there. Need the rivalry to stay strong. I admit I wrote you guys off after Michigan. But those last few weeks were rather impressive. I always thought Day was holding you back, but todays win will buy him a few more years as coach now.

TBH I don't think it has ever been about the supporters. Never ever had a problem or even thought about them. It's about the 'Game' rather than the teams or fans. At least since Woody and Bo left. Harbaugh brought back a personality for a while.
Also I actually think their/your helmet is on the best ever in the sport. Without the stickers and in home blue and corn pants, very intimidating.
OSU now has the Big 10 20 or whatever behind it. It's become a national conference with the old Pac 10 teams joining. It's not the NCAA of my youth when we were the cold weather hard nosed teams going down to balmy SoCal to play the media darlings on their home turf.
Everyone including me didn't really think about doing well in the playoffs. Someone said earlier, which OSU will turn up. That loss pissed them off.
Day I think has become more of a manager and has built on the professionalism and improved the culture that Meyer left. He has his OC and DC doing the grunt work. But really he has to win the Game next year or the pressure will be right back on him regardless of this title.

I think I agree with you guys about the overt Christian pronouncements in every interview. Any religion really. Some kicker after winning a game on last second long distance field goal...."Praise Buddha, oh me to fo."
But I hate most interviews anyway. They're just filler nowadays anyways with all the media coaching and cliches and platitudes. Hiphop gangster or Christian evangelist they all are boring. You don't see Lutherans doing it.
A jaded view might be that they are coached to do it to elevate their sponsorship value.
