The funny thing is that the Lions looked much prettier in their execution but our guys, especially the non-listed players, top-ups and walk-ons just scrapped and scrapped and scrapped the whole game. Terrific signs for the season ahead.
Blakey looked 3 cuts above everyone else on the paddock in limited minutes. I sure hope he's recovering fully.

First quarter. We didn't really use him in that position. He was the only listed player in the forward line and we kicked it over half forward mostly. Despite how well we did it was seriously messy.
The best bit for mine was Q2 Blakey marked about 30m out (in front of me) and nailed a 60m pass to one of ours who turned and nailed another pass to one of ours on HFF. Sadly, he dropped it but it was razor sharp play. Blakey looked amazing but not 100%.

For seniors the little hill was pretty full.
There are 19 of us left ( on the hill).
Looks like a lot of people support at team, not a club.

Too many. They will probably be fair weather supporters too if we go down.

I spoke to him yesterday and again this morning. He said it was a lovely evening at the SCG. Only parents etc of AFL players were invited to attend though. Not VFL. Lots of lavish finger food was served. Platters and platters of it. They then moved inside the SCG for photos and speeches.
