In a bit of a pickle given Stewart plays tomorrow. Initially I was thinking;

Milera > Chandler
Stewart > Doc

However that leaves me hamstrung with trades over the weekend should any chaos ensure (which it always does).

Current, plan is the following;

Loop Cowans at D7 and can hold fire on the Long to Ziebell move until post TNF.

Means I will have to play either Chesser or Uwland on field.

Docs price isn't getting out of control given the 122 breakeven (and a 95 last year against the Cats). My team's in a pretty decent state and so I figure the double play for cash gen could be the go. Also give Milera another week (BE 54) to see if he is going to pop against a Richmond side who like to give up points.

Leaves me with $222k for the following week.

Any of you guys seeing something I'm not? Any and all ideas (& critiques) appreciated!

might be a silly qn...If ive got 2 bench mids selected as emergencies, and i want to loop one on field after they've played - which one gets picked ?

Pretty sure it reverts to the lower scorer...so you want to avoid making two emergencies in the same line.

**I'm not 100% on this either so don't take the above as gospel!

hrm - i need to make a decision tonight on which rookie to keep: Cowan vs McVee
neither set the world on fire.
McVee prob makes more cash short term, but cowan has better JS
help
I’ve actually looked at bringing McVee IN this week. I’ve had a look at the Dees board and by the looks of it his JS is pretty safe. They rate him on there and clearly the club do too. There’s only really Salem to come back but with his thyroid problem who knows when that will be. He scored okay, not like he dropped a 30. Could be a slow burn but pump out a random 80 to get his cash-gen going. Food for thought.

Hopefully you have Davey especially as Tippa could be in doubt. Has Perkins finally arrived?
I reckon the selection of Tippa as a sub had a bit of club PR involved.

I was very surprised he was in the team.

Davey will play every game because of hot form I think. Unless he gets “ rested” or injured.

Guelfi to come back eventually and it’ll interesting to see how they play the Davey, Menzie, Guelfi, Perkins, Tippa, Snelling small forward combo. They can’t all play at once.

Isn't Salem good to go this week? thought i saw that somewhere

I do have Davey. Really liked the look of Perkins and his role. Not sure he does it consistently enough to justify his price tag?

You obviously need to deal with Stewart before tomorrow night, and going to Doch is a solid choice.

I would then be holding off on the second trade until teams are confirmed on Friday night. If you are willing to pass on Doch this week, going Stewart to Chandler before Thursday's game will give you plenty of options for the second trade... the top 14 DEF scorers from last week don't play until Saturday at the earliest. This also allows for the obligatory rookie who gets dropped after one game :)

Got a Will Brodie conundrum and I'm weighing up 4 options:

1: keep him as he is playing Norf and WC the next few weeks
2: Get Zach Merrett (it involves me trading Liam Henry for Chandler)
3: Get Chad Warner (I'm also worried about him getting tagged and playing Port 2 weeks later)
4: Get Tom Green (I'm worried he will repeat history from last year)

What is everyone's thoughts?

I'm keeping him this week, but he'd want to repay the faith.

Thoughts on: McGrath to Bowes (not sold on McGrath's role at all)
And long to pedlar?

Pedlar is the only rookie I really missed out on. And I had 0 cash coming into this round, so if I want pedlar, I need to do this trade or I go Cowan to pedlar?

If you don't have any forced trades then, yep, like it.

McGrath looked like a no-man's-land pick (I have him) so good to move him on and get an early jump on Bowes, who at worst will match McGrath's 80s you'd think. POD at that price opposed to Day (or Cox).

Long will be a 30-40s player for WCE whereas Pedlar will score above that, so a solid trade for cash gen.

Cheers! Yup, no forced trades, which is the motivator behind it. Appreciate the feedback

I'm pretty sure this year that we have more flexibility in the reverse trade space.

For instance, say you trade Stewart (plays Thursday) for Will Day (plays Sunday) before partial lockout tomorrow. In past seasons that trade would be locked at the beginning of the first player's game (tomorrow night, in this example). This year I think you will be able to switch out the player you're trading Stewart at any time, assuming his game hasn't started and you can afford him.

Disclaimer: I'm almost certain this is the case but can't find evidence of it on the socials. Can anyone confirm?

Cheers! I think Stewart to Chandler and then keep the second trade is definitely the play. Waiting for Friday teams will give me a far better lay of the land...

I had heard that to be the case aswell - but haven't seen it confirmed. Was hoping there would be a guinea pig in this forum before I was forced to try it!

That sounds VERY good in principle, but (like others) I would like to see it actually work before I try it :)

Are we a trade or Hold with Kelly if he's the only forced trade this week?
Just don't know if its 1 or 2 weeks and all the podcasts are mixed answers.
Such a hard decision.
I’m culling. Last year I would have held. Also hard to upgrade at this point so sideways trading and fix ups is ideal

He's had a couple, remember one last season - might be given a second week. He'll have 13 days - They'll probably say on Friday night.
