I've done some very basic research on possible rucks we could pick up in the MSD, but Fraser Thurlow, Brayden Crossley and Tom Downie all seem to be performing very well currently in the VFL.

Looked up the 2021 VFL team of the year.

Ruckman is Matthew Lobbe.

Anybody heard of him? Thoughts on if he'd want to play for Carlton?

:p

Cuningham's knee has been listed as 12 weeks for the last 6 weeks...
Could we keep him on the LTI list and go into the mid-season draft with two picks?

If he is still 12+ weeks, it would allow him to get his knee right for pre season...

1. Best KPR or KPD
2. I know his not a key priority... But, it's weird, I keep getting drawn to this guy... Like I was with Ginnivan prior to him being drafted
Very small. As in, small for a small forward small. If he weighed another 4-8kg with similar stats I'd be a mite more interested at that height; there's such a thing as a little ball of muscle. I'd be concerned about him being able to lay effective tackles at AFL level, and with the ball unless he's very, very evasive he's going to get tackled or knocked off it easily.

I haven't seen him play though. What are your impressions?

Yeah he is pretty small 179cm & 76kg, apparently his size is the knock on him...

Haven watched him in the SANFL, but his numbers are really impressive (Av Disp: 33.33, Disp Eff: 75%, Av Marks 6:, Av Tack:4.7, Av Clear: 6.3)
Watched his highlights as a junior in his draft year (below)

Was a winger at West Coast and as a junior, believe he has moved more into the middle in the SANFL...
Has elite agility and disposal... Also has good pace and endurance... Would fit our wing needs for cheap...

Think he will get another chance and will get drafted in MSD... Hoping by us, if we get 2 picks...

If his head is right, I would even consider Jonathon Marsh who is only 26. Punches way above his 194 cm frame, super quick, aggressive, plays both ends and would allow Young to play the forward/ruck role

Will stand corrected but my understanding is you need to have nominated for the previous ND to be eligible for the MSD which is why Mumford nominated, in case GWS needed a top-up.
I stand corrected, draw a line through Strom

While you are both correct this is what the rules say...

The article below states you can ask the AFL for an exemption...
We were granted an exemption last year with Mirkov...

If the club want a certain player and they are to commit to drafting them in the MSD, the AFL are likely to approve our request...

Lewis has been dropped from the side for tomorrow's VFL side. Not a great sign with the MSD fast approaching.

Good luck to Tyreece Lieu who has been named for his first game this year after overcoming injury. Wonder if he can put his hand up with a couple of good performances over the next few weeks.

Was named in bests as overager in NAB league game last week.

Is the tweet on Will Hayes, together with Brad Lloyd's recent comment on an AFL quality player, an ad for Will Hayes for a MSD list spot?
