Bit of a shock to see Lambert not included after getting through a full game of VFL, as was seeing Pickett out injured.

Opens the door for one or more of MRJ, Banks and Sonsie who've all been named on the extended bench. They could be the three left out, I suspect one will play. Banks is a really classy unit, was hoping he'd stay rookie price for next year rather than get a handful of games and end up an awkward price.

One thing's for sure, big chance of Gawn/Jacko/Oliver/TRAC going huge with Nank rucking solo, I'm assuming Soldo hasn't got up after being hospitalised earlier in the week with a toe infection.

If Strndica comes out with two x 80+ scores, and with Preuss and Hayes as options beforehand, I'm seriously contemplating running with all 3 in my ruck line.

Is this crazy?

We know rucks make perfect cash cows so if you can get a starting ruck for a pittance, it generally results in increased cash gen.

I currently have English, Hayes, Xerri, Preuss and Dixon, and was determined to trade in the Port Hayes next week.

It would be a massive point of difference and I was looking at trading Gawn in over the next week or two anyway, but the end result would be an easy finish to the team across all lines and then have the pusswah built up to go bang bang on both Gawn and Darcy after their bye..

Titch & Rosas
Oliver & Hayes
Steele, McComb & Strndica

over the next 3 weeks is tempting

What’s the prognosis on Hinge?

Having trouble deciding if to hold him on my bench or trade sideways to NOD for some extra cash gen. Or upgrade to a premo like Stewart or Sinclair?

Is it time to cash in JHF? I have downgraded to him to Rosas.

Hinge is probably gone for a few weeks

I am trading him. A shame because he still has more cash to make but he isnt playing plus he has that poor score in his cycle which will limit his cash making for a few weeks.

Think he’s fit just the coach has started taking about suitable match ups week to week. He can go.

Unless you need the cash to upgrade now surely you still hold Hinge, we’ve all get plenty of dead or close to it rookies on our mid bench so why trade a guy who will get games and is capable of scoring 80s and 90s?
Because he's not playing, has now missed 2 games and has a low score in his cycle so his cash gen will be slow if he gets back in.

He was always an injury risk. I'm trading him to Preuss.

A lot of those dead rookies won’t make enough cash by trading. Hinge gives people cash to take Petracca types or Oliver next week.

He’s still a better option to hold than Mead, Stephens or MacDonald, even Dixon (unless you need the extra 50-80k now). I’d imagine everyone has that type of player in their side. His BE even is still low so even with that low score if he hits 70-80 which he probably will he’ll make us some good money. Yes he’s an injury risk but a corkie doesn’t mean he’s any more of a risk than he was three weeks ago when he was a great pick.

I think holding off on the upgrades for this week and instead getting rid of some of the dead weight on the bench and bringing in good rookies while we have the chance will pay off in the long run.

I didn’t like the coaches words about him. Didn’t sound best 22 and sounds opportunities will be role/opponent based.

Fair.

Reading between the lines I read it as: “he’s probably in our best 22 but we’re coming off a win and all the half backs/wings performed well so we’re gonna give him a run in the 2s”. He’s been rated really highly at Adelaide since he came from Brisbane, twice we’ve played him in round one even though he was potentially underdone. I think he’s only one injury or poor game from someone else from coming back in.

I can see lots of scenarios where he comes back in next week, Brown is pretty injury prone, Dawson has been mostly half back the past two weeks but they may get him up onto a wing more soon.

Can see both sides though
