Lol seriously can we just have a ban on posting things ol clickbait Kornes says…

none of it is interesting and it’s all designed to just stir people up.

Hodgey wants a new rule! Hodgey gets a new rule.

No more clickbait shit from Cornes in here.

Also:
Can we also threadban Rendell quotes. The bloke is senile.
Done ✔️

When you look at it, we were 4 wins away from the finals.
The backline is first class. If Lewis, Kosi,Moore & Brockman take another leap forward along with Gunston slotting back in(if he stays) were okay in
the forward line. Add a minimum of 2 very handy mids from the draft, we surely have cause for optimism. I see us being anywhere from 7th to 12th next year.
There was such a giant gulf between our early season form and our end of season form. Especially once the players were told the Clarko news. This isn’t the sort of thing that we can expect to just replicate.

Teams looked much better than us last year and a few teams around us have more scope for improvement.

If we get everyone back, if they can perform to their previous level, if our youngsters continue to come on, if our oldies don’t drop off, if we can continue our late season form and if Sammy’s gameplan clicks quickly. We might have a good year, that’s a lot of if’s to gamble a first round pick

We must be very confident about Lynch or turning the Ladhams narrative around now.
Or have a desperate need for Pick 41 as part of something bigger.

Will be pi55ed off if we're pushing him out & paying his way for Pick 41 alone.

I dont think its that bad.

You have to give something to get something.

Teams aren't just going to take a full contract of an over paid player that is yet to really prove themselves at afl level.

If that contract coming off the books adds another what 300-400k they can throw at king/lukosis then it's worth it.

If they bring in more players or 2021 picks, that just eats into the salary they've saved offloading the contract.
I Agree. I think Kangaroos we're offering a 3rd rounder for McPherson and pick 19, and McPherson was only a one year contract.

It still would not surprise me Ladhams end up at Hawks contrary to all the talk in media.
Port desperate to get rid of him. I reckon they'll cave.

Could well be - perhaps we walked away and let them think we were happy to take Lynch instead. If so brilliant poker bluff which puts them on the back foot. MM making all the right moves so far...

reckon it would come back to what the Swans are willing to offer. If Hawthorn are putting up 24 as suggested in here are Sydney actually going to offer a first to beat it to get inside Hawks offer? Doubt it. If hawks aren’t offering a second and offering a future pick then it might make Swans more interesting for Port

I think Port will want to do something in the first round, just to save face. Even if it ends up being Ladhams and 16 for 12 and a second/third or something.

Then they come out and say 'we were clear that we wanted to improve our look in the first round of we were going to trade Pete and we achieved that.'

I'd have loved this same one but instead of Brodie getting Macpherson.
When you mention should have multiple later picks (which comes more easily too) instead of upgrading Pick 5 (no one happy to do it), you get laughed at. Isn't Brodie Top 10 players, Mcpherson rookie elevation.
You are suggesting McPherson is better player, I have not watched either closely.

Clubs are keen to get multiple decent picks in the door and some on here are still puzzled why there are those of us keen to see more picks if it means sacrificing a high quality player. Talent is clearly there in this draft pool - I hope we can get amongst it!
