Brownlow Medallist
But not too many, we need them high draft picks.
Maybe but I don't think that I could handle such a dismal season as last year though. Some of those games were torture to watch from start to finish.

As a team, the boys just need some confidence boosting wins. If they could knock off 1 or 2 of the big boys would be good too.Maybe but I don't think that I could handle such a dismal season as last year though. Some of those games were torture to watch from start to finish.

It’s been eight years since the Lions finished any higher than 13th so if he makes the finals in any of his three years his scrapbook will brim with tribute pieces.

Thanks for your efforts in posting those. Bewick is pretty prominent in the photos and seems to be pretty engaged based on the gesturing etc. Probably fair to say it is a make or break year for him. Hopefully he can find his niche under the new coach and reach the required level of consistency. Has shown he can reach the level, just not often enough or for sustained periods.Photos from Wednesday's training.

Thanks very much mate!!Photos from Wednesday's training.
If fit I see him starting 22, got some games off limited preparation last year and still looked OK, but short of a run. His running ability for his size is very good.Michael Close is an absolute beast
I believe he has all the tools to make it. This year is make or break he should be physically ready to make the CHF position his own.Michael Close is an absolute beast
Not a make of break year for him, but I would like to see him play plenty of games. He is still very young for a key forward and the big guys just take longer. We were all spoiled by an 18 year old Jono Brown coming in and owning a spot almost straight away.I believe he has all the tools to make it. His 4 goal game should be the bench mark now and I would be expecting him to line up round 1 at CHF.
He's 22 with 4 years in the system. I'd argue it is make or break, this is around the time the big keys need to start showing some consistency otherwise he'll definitely lose his spot to some of the younger guys with greater potential. Not a make of break year for him, but I would like to see him play plenty of games. Guys like Bewick and Lester are probably at the 'make or break' stage, but definitely not Close. Yes we should be seeing greater consistency, but as Winged1 said, most talls take longer and don't forget he has had a knee reconstruction which has set him back a season at least. He's 22 with 4 years in the system. Tried to get a few extra shota of your son but he's always running too fast
Got a funny feeling he may have been 19 when he played his first game. Correct me if i am wrong. Not a make of break year for him, but I would like to see him play plenty of games. But my point is that Johnathon brown at the age of 19 had a 23yr olds body and ready for senior footy. Close certainly didn't, but is getting there now.
Schache body at 19 is much more ready for senior footy, and the closest thing we have had to a Johnathon Brown in 20 yrs.
Well done. I wouldn't even know where to find that.Jono Brown debut:18y 162d round 5 2000 versus ADE http://afltables.com/afl/stats/players/J/Jonathan_Brown.html
I don't need to click on that link and check the stats to know that he did not get a single touchJono Brown debut:18y 162d round 5 2000 versus ADE http://afltables.com/afl/stats/players/J/Jonathan_Brown.html
