Port can't afford to pay the Gold Coast... & I'm confident your financial statement will prove this. The AFL have come to the party.

Which financial statements, 2016 or 2017?

Gui has made it clear all his funding must be spent on development in China, so if it's not all used, I gather it would be returned.

You cannot be serious with this. You're much smarter than this.

All I'm saying is why can't your supporters be honest with the arrangements, whilst spinning bullshit... As it detracts from the event itself.

The only spin I'm seeing is, "Everything about this is bad because Poortz".

Nor yours. Its not your home game. How had is that to comprehend?

If we've paid to get the home game rights transferred, then it is our home game.

Logic is not your strong point I see.

How do you know they haven't?
Because Port don't have any money to pay the Suns... so are still the away team.

It's pure logic!

Do you seriously think Port have suddenly found a stash of money to fund this venture? No they haven't, as other parties including the AFL are funding it.

Good luck to you, but stop with the pretence that Port is paying its own way... Like we still pay a wealth tax which effectively goes to Port... or that the Crows pay the SMA more than Port per game... & Crows members pay more for the same seats than Port members.

Just stop with the bullshit! How hard is it to be honest for once...

Have you? As far as I'm aware you have just paid for them to shift their home game, not to buy the rights, You are listed as the away team. Its not your home game, you will be wearing a white jumper, the suns will be wearing chinas colours.

I will attempt to answer, Port brought the home ground rights they did not purchase the home game.
Some of the media fail to see the difference, But it there, What surprise's me is not too many have picked up on that fact.
The AFL cannot allow Port or any club more Home games without altering the constitution which it has not, That is the reason the Gold Coast will wear their Home ground Jumpers and Shorts,

Actually, that's the strawman you're trying to construct here. The original question that sparked this discussion was about why or why not this is your home game. It was never about the economic benefits which you have tried to steer it towards, because you know that if you succeed you might be able to paint us as the bad guys.

Obviously, 2017 financial statements will once & for all clarify for all your fellow sheep that it's not Port funding this venture.

Gui has said his funding must be used in China for development of the game. Are you now disputing this to with a new spin version?

I think I read on their board that the club hasn't released detailed financials the last 2 years. Coincidentally the 2 years in which they've been trumpeting about making a profit. After depreciation and all, which they keep telling us.

That's great but Port haven't paid the Suns anything...

The AFL will pay them to move a home game.

I agree, And will be eagerly waiting for Port release there Financials for 2017 looking at this. if they are released in full.
I was just concentrating about the difference between purchasing the Home Ground rights and Home Game rights.

Wow, it only took the AFL one and a half day during the off-season to try to work out how to spin the story

"Wood's tweet was retweeted more than 1000 times and had more than 2700 likes. Most of the replies were strong in their support, however some queried whether he would be prepared to play for less money if the gaming industry pulled its financial support for the game."

oh, found the bit where they try to play it up.

First time I've seen a player say something ballsy for a while that i can think of.

This will result in a big change at AFL house, media training refresher prior to gambling education sessions.
