Seagulls go top after winning the old firm match.
Werribee finally back on the winners list.
And Preston cause the upset over the Dogs.

This week:

Richmond (13) v Frankston (14) (Punt Rd)
Collingwood (3) v Geelong (6) (Victoria Park)
Footscray (7) v Box Hill (10) (Whitten Oval)
Port Melbourne (5) v North Ballarat (15) (North Port)
Coburg (11) v Casey (2) (Coburg)
Werribee (12) v Preston (9) (Werribee)
Sandringham (4) v Williamstown (1) (Trevor Barker - tv game)
Essendon (8) has a bye that it doesn't really need given how shaky it's spot in the 8 is.

Being a game and % clear of 9th is shaky?

Saw a bit of the game yesterday on 7, wondering if it's possible to buy a Werribee jumper anywhere? They look pretty cool.

Give the club a call. The W design is very original and so different to any other.

Was a nice touch for the 'Bees to win yesterday given they were celebrating their first senior grand final appearnace in 1991 on the day, including Neale Daniher.

Essendon v Williamstown
Casey v Werribee
Sandringham v Box Hill
Richmond v Geelong
North Ballarat, Northern Blues and Footscray have the bye.

Big win. Still think that Williamstown are the team to beat.

They are, but top 4 is huge, I'd give us every chance in a final against them that isn't played in Williamstown. We did beat them by 5 points earlier in the season.

Essendon's victory over Williamstown has certainly helped secure a finals spot with games against North Ballarat and Northern Blues to come, compared to the fixtures of both Box Hill and Richmond immediately behind them. Geelong, immediately ahead of Essendon, doesn't exactly have an easy draw either.

Box Hill - Collingwood (home) and Casey (home)
Richmond - Sandringham (away) and Coburg (home)
Geelong - Casey (home) and Port Melbourne (away)

Werribee and Northern Blues can still technically make 8th spot too, albeit they'd need a couple of 100 point upsets to close 20 odd percent and rely on Essendon dropping both matches.

Werribee - Footscray (H), Sandringham (H)
Northern - Williamstown (H), Essendon (A)

Spewing, Willy's chances of a home final at Point Gellibrand have nose dived.

Bombers by over 10 goals today.
Collingwood did us a huge favour and finished the Hawks season. A Richmond loss tomorrow and we are finals bound
