Gee what a surprise the intra club match cancelled, didnt see that coming......They knew the weather was going to cancel it, couldnt they have arranged another location? Its just an intra club match with 20 people turning up, hardly gonna stop the nation.

Where in SEQ would you propose?

Dunno if you've noticed, but we've got a ****ing cyclone bearing down on us!

Piss poor of successive Qld governments not to have foreseen this eventuality and constructed a purpose built, state of the art 50,000 seat dome.

Why are you so exclusive? Obviously a dome should have been constructed over the whole of Qld to avoid cyclones impacting on any AFL practice, trial game, preseason or regular season game.

And the club only now realises? Perhaps they'd be better off coming to Melbourne for the weekend for their scratch match and at the same time mingle with the fans who get ripped off every year with the draw.

*Cue excuses like hotel bookings, grand prix, australian open, ash wednesday....

Mmm, last minute bookings are very cheap even on the off chance that 60 seats were somehow available on commercial flights (they're not). Would you perhaps suggest a charter flight or a 24 hour bus trip?

Even if it is logistically possible (yeah, but nah) it would hardly be a sound financial decision for a club losing millions each year.

There's plenty of times the club deserves criticism. This isn't one of those times.

A club losing millions of dollars a year should hold a scratch match interstate?

Maybe you should have contacted the club and let them know a Category 5 cyclone would be making landfall and affecting the weather of eastern Queensland on the same day as their intraclub given apparently you had this great foresight?

Because Melbourne weather is sooooooo predictable?

Not sure if you're aware, but cyclone's are very unpredictable as is the weather around them. 2 hours north of Marcia now has relatively fine weather, 600km south and we have a trough moving through. Could as easily have stopped or slowed raining here.

Fancy getting angry at the club for rain.

Isn't it perfectly calm in the centre of the eye of the cyclone? They could have played the intraclub there.

Seriously though, a team not rescheduling a bloody scratch match to another state at the last minute is one of the most irrational complaints I have ever seen on here, and I have seen some doozies.

I've been meaning to gripe to you about the serving of alcohol at the Captain's Bar...

NAB Cup-style, they'd only get an hour or so. :D
