I am under the impression Blackmon is not ever nplaying for the Jags again

I see your list and raise you the name.... bortles

I dunno with Bortles. He doesn't look like a system baby but at the same time he has a long way to come...

Wouldn't surprise to see Henne starting.

Whether that story sticks is another thing altogether.

This. Matt Flynn basically had the number 1 spot all wrapped up when Russell Wilson came in and then Russell just blew him away in camp and the pre-season. Anything can happen.

I love talking about the Rams and I get it, it's a historic day in the NFL and it means a shit ton to some people. However he is just a football player competing for a roster spot with our great DLine Depth and Westbrook (UDFA). Let's not cheapen everyone here to being sucked into all the clickbait and these lousy hypotheticals.

So who believes Bortles to be a franchise QB?
Nay

Overrated accuracy and arm strength. Mainly due to poor mechanics.

Feel he will be rushed into a team that needs a hero.

He's going to sit this year. The franchise learned from rushing Gabbert, and everyone that was involved in the decision to rush Gabbert is gone.

There's a reason Sam wasn't drafted 2 or 3 - and it has nothing to his personal persuasion - it was because the NFL recruiters did not feel he had the A or B or even C grade talent.

Now someone can probably tell me but the odds of a 7th rounder making it are much less than a 2nd rounder as the club has less money invested in him.

Good luck to him, Sam will need it...

Nevermind the odds.. it's all about sleeper value in this league. Seventh rounders who made the NFL top shelf their own include:
Saints' WR's Marquez Colston & Eric Martin, Packers Donald Driver, Cinci's TJ Housh, K Gary Anderson, Broncos Pro-Bowlers and SB champs.. TE Shannnon Sharpe and C Tom Nalen and the underated Raven QB sackmaster, Michael McCrary.

Not sure if this has been posted, but a good story about the Browns 4th round pick - the first player ever drafted from his school.

I really really wanted the Rams to draft Pierre. Great story, local guy and hell of a player. Fell in love with his style over the course of the draft season. Obviously don't know the guy, but by the sounds of it I bet he would of loved staying in St. Louis as well. You've got one heck of a player Cleveland!

For those who enjoy NFL doco's and perhaps would like to know more of what the drafting process involves, there's an upcoming exclusive behind the scenes four part doco of the Pittsburgh Steelers blueprint planning leading into 2014 draft. Riveting stuff.

Thanks for the heads up Woodson much appreciated and I will be watching with interest and well done Steelers for the open access.

Blardy Steelers and who cares about them.... :p

Or as balmainforever calls you blokes the Squeelers!! :D

Is that the same munchkin who slipped outside with two minutes remaining in the Steelers/ Packers SB and slap a $50 on the Steelers??
