He's an average player, who can't win his own ball.
He's a seagull, and those birds are of great advantage to ones Dreamteam. Collecting chips from the scrap heap are their specialty, and although we may hate them, they are valuable from a DT perspective...

What you mean to say is that he is an outside player that is perfectly suited to Dream Team because I can pick him in defense and he will run through the midfield?

Seagulls for the win!

P.S. He averages 2 tackles per game, so he must accidently run into a couple of players during each game?

Which makes him reliant on others in an average midfield to feed him the ball. Will be inconsistent and lucky to crack the ton 3 times.

His ceiling isn’t really huge. Even with a 30 possession game against Geelong in Round 15, he only just cracked 100 points. 108 against Richmond was his highest score of the season which came from 29 disposals.

I think you're looking at his 2011 stats.

His highest score in 2012 was 137. I'm not sure how you could think he's inconsistent, he's one of the most consistent scorers in the comp. 70% of the time he played he scored between 75 and 100. He only went below 70 two times.

Considering he will move into the midfield this season I expect him to average even more.

Fair enough, others will average the same, if not more but cost less.

Never pick others reliant on their teammates to win them their disposals.

Duffield, Hanley........

Duffield carries the big "beware Ross Lyon hates DT" sticker and Hanley is interesting... high ceilings and low floors...and its those low floors that makes him perfect for a grab when he has a double no show DT style...

I think Goddard Scotland Grimes Gibbs Heppell and Waters will be the top 6 ave by season end for what it's worth - injuries permitting.

So you're saying the 6 highest priced defenders will average the most in their respective category? Way to go out on a limb. ;)
