Re: Afc championshp game

Like we really care about SA time. The sooner the state government changes the time the better.

Re: Afc championshp game

I dont know what timezone he's in, so I have no idea to take 10:30 as gospel, add half an hour, take half an hour, or ad 2 and a half

The same time as the other 6:30 games have been, jesus christ. I still haven't figured out if your a ****ing idiot or you just seek attention. Either way it rubs people the wrong way.

Thank God I'm still on holidays next week. If we make the Superbowl but I'll be back at work. Is it ok to take a sick day the first day back after holidays?:D

Re: NFL 2010/2011 - AFC Championship Game

Bring on the Jets . Pity the Ravens who were a second half meltdown away from hosting the AFC Championship

I wonder if the refs will decide this game for the burgh like they do for all the others they happen to win.

I trust you're referring to Weagles_fan's damning comments?

Long time no hear steelreds? Very few posts on our forum? IIRC Last time you bothered posting was during the SB XLIII season play-offs ? Regular Season postings not good enough for you mate?

Anyway.. the Jets have a bunch of floaters hanging around so with what you know about the Steelers (hope it's sufficient), we'll have to get the discussion happening to make sure the Jets fans know what they're up against despite having already won @ Heinz Field already.

Here's Two players who both MISSED the Week 15 match up.

I'm thinking the JETS will need to move the ball in the air to win so if the Steelers don't turn the ball over.. (early :eek: ) and hopefully have a couple long drives for scores, the Jets will have to earn every yard like the Ravens did in the second half (28 total) to try beat the Steelers.

Re: NFL 2010/2011 - AFC Championship Game

Very surprised by both the jets and steelers as i picked against both of them. still dont trust sanchez and that offense against a pittsburgh defense that looks frightening, im tipping sanchez cant keep it up all game and the steelers just effectively shut them down they wont be running against them and with the home field advantage which caught alive in a flash against baltimore. my tip pittsburgh to progress

Where are you you little pussy indieswan. You can dish it out but can't take it typical Swans supporter.

Re: NFL 2010/2011 - AFC Championship Game

Steelers will win this easily IMO.

Heinz field in the playoffs is not the place you want to be playing at for a Superbowl spot and the Jets have had a hard schedule so far and i think a let down is in the making for them as they have peaked IMO.

Steelers 31-10

Re: NFL 2010/2011 - AFC Championship Game

The health of the Steelers O line will be pivotal here. alot of people (including me) are focusing on the legendary steelers D, but the jets can create just as much pressure on a quarterback especially if both Steelers tackles (already down to back ups) are injured.

Im guessing Big Ben will be using Wallace and Mendenhall on quick screens and short slants to beat the jets Blitz..which will be a big factor to watch.

But, going back to the Steelers Defense, the Ravens did put 24 pts on em, but 14 of that was due to offensive fumbles, 1 returned for 6 and another in the ravens red zone...and the last field goal was due to that big punt return ...

So the D only gave up 7 pts to a ravens offense which IMO eclipses the Jets.

I would expect more of the same from Pittsburghs D, and with less mistakes on offense, i think they will run away from the jets in the second half.

Steelers 30 - Jets 17

Re: NFL 2010/2011 - AFC Championship Game

Go Steelers is all I can say!!

Was fully expecting a NE vs Pitt Championship game, gave the Jets absolutely no chance. I guess they would be the feel good story of the year with the mad coach, not a high ranking QB etc.. but I think a Steeler - Packer SB would be one to remember!!

Lets hope I can get the day off work!

Oh btw, Steelers to win 13-10.

Re: NFL 2010/2011 - AFC Championship Game

Its true Woodson i havent been on this forum for a while. With Heath playing this time around instead of bad hands Spaeth and Troy back for this matchup(although he didnt have much impact against the Ravens) I am confident we can reverse the previous result against the Jets.

The Steelers O line should be fine Flozell went off due to illness not injury and Scott came back in after going off so it must not be too serious an injury. I am a bit worried about Kemo and his brain explosions after the whistle piling on and getting hit with penalties.
