With the new NRL season coming closer and closer, I think it's time that we have a little prediction of what will happen in 2009. After the season finishes we can bump this thread and see who made good predictions and who made shockers. Off you go :thumbsu:

Warriors win grand final
NSW 2-1 in origin

News ltd leave control of the game and a Rugby League commision takes over :thumbsu:

1. Sea Eagles
2. Warriors
3. Sharks
4. Dragons
5. Raiders
6. Roosters
7. Storm
8. Broncos
--------------------------
9. Knights
10. Cowboys
11. Titans
12. Bulldogs
13. Tigers
14. Eels
15. Rabbitohs
16. Panthers

Dragons vs. Raiders
Sharks vs. Roosters
Warriors vs. Storm
Sea Eagles vs. Broncos

Raiders vs. Roosters
Sharks vs. Dragons

Warriors vs. Dragons
Sea Eagles vs. Raiders

Warriors vs. Sea Eagles

The Cowboys are over-rated. A lot of people are saying they can make the top 8 (even the top 4) but the fact is they are coming off a near-wooden spoon finish and despite recruiting well I don't think they can fly that high up the ladder. Manly will again be the dominate side and I think it will be 2 in a row (no bias). I personally think the Storm will slide a bit. Other than that the table speaks for itself.

1.Warriors
2 Eagles
3 Storm
4 Titans
5 Knights
6 Raiders
7 Dragons
8 Rabbitohs
9 Broncos
10 Sharks
11 Bulldogs
12 Roosters

Warriors vs. Sea Eagles grandfinal with Manly winningt:mad: I personally think the Storm will slide a bit.

Agree with you re Storm = we have lost Izzy and Co. Be happy just to make the finals as its really important for the Storm to remain competitive in this afl market.

But would love to make up for last years g/f - we will do it one day, bet you:p

Will be barracking for anyone who plays Manly. I dislike most of their supporters - not the team so much.

come on cooper..dont hold out ;)

My computer is stuffed;)

Or am I?:D

What happened was that I posted my original predictions but it did not show on the thread...couldn't be bothered doing it again...so I thought it was too late in the night and I would come back later in the week.....

I wasn't trying to have 2 goes at it:p
I was shocked when the original post showed up tonight and having a laugh right now:D

Manly - Very good side, havent lost much since this year
Easts - ditto, wont do much in the finals however, pearce will continue to improve
Warriors - will be hard to stop all year if they show some consitency
Newcastle - I think they will continue to improve this season, have a great coach
Melbourne - fade a bit, lost some players
Titans - provided they have a fit prince and bailey for the season should go allright
Cronulla - lost half and hooker and whilst Barrett is a good signing i think they will struggle to replicate this seasons form
Souths - Making of a decent side, just a gut feeling they'll improve a bit

Canberra - could easily be top 8 if late season form is shown again
Brisbane - Awesome backline cant do much if the forwards give them no room to move, and Brisbanes pack is the worst its been in living memory.
Wests Tigers - Could surprise, Josh Lewis could be a very good buy, really need halves to fire to have a chance however, could easily be much lower than this
St George Illawarra - Dont have the halves IMO, Soward is average. Will improve the next season however
Canterbury - anything would be an improvement have bought reasonably well but lack strike power out wide
North Queensland - ****ing overated as all hell, new coach wont stop them having a ******** pack.
Penrith - shit coach, average list, crap club
Parra - were shit this year and havent added to that side. JUst a gut feeling of last for them could well be wrong

Hi fellow NRL fans.... I often come to this board to have a read but thought it was about time I posted. NRL is quite difficult to predict but I'll have a bash -

Manly
Newcastle
Melbourne
Warriors
Dragons
Cowboys
Penrith
Roosters

Sharks
Titans
Tigers
Canberra
Souths
Parramatta
Broncos
Bulldogs

No Rhyme or reason to my rankings but I desperately hope my beloved Cowboys climb back into the eight. :)
