Would almost prefer Tom Bellchambers than this bloke nowadays

Draper does some magical stuff but T Bell is probably a more complete player.

I still don’t think he has hit his ceiling yet. A couple of years away from his peak years I reckon. His overhead marking definitely improved towards the end of the year I thought. It’s a shame he started footy so late he might have ironed out some of those fundamentals earlier.

It will be great if he can put it all together.
Not sure he has much improvement ruck wise but I do think he has scope to be a 30-40 goal forward / second ruck.

His marking has definitely improved over the last year. I think it’s more about minimising the brain fades. It makes sense to him to be training up forward if they intend on playing Bryan more regularly.

My boy is the best! He ain’t practicing because of his deficiencies! It’s because of Bryan’s deficiencies. If Bryan is a better ruck than Draper is abettor footballer! Shots have been fired’nn

This is Sammy’s averages last year against the top 4 ruck averages. Apart from loose ball gets he was competitive in the other key stats. I got this from Wooden Spoon Data on YouTube.

I didn’t agree with all of his takes but I thought it was an interesting watch.

Another good point he raised was that Sam was equal top 3 overall in average goals for a ruck. The thing he was not great at was pressuring and defensive pressuring. It wouldn’t have helped that he didn’t have a proper preseason and also missing those early games.

The last thing I will add is traditional rucks are late developers and so are newbies!!! He was cursed with both afflictions yet how old his he? When did Madden come good? In the old days they had to hit the age of 27 before they were considered an infant ruck that maybe had a chance to progress!!! Who remembers the struggles of Allesio and Somerville??! If you don’t I do they took a lot of time to develop properly into something that resembled a functional footballer!

Don’t get me wrong I look at all sides! What does it look to you on the outside? I agree with other peoples assessment!!! What does it look like without Draper? It’s not 2mp mental state holding him back it’s his dodgy shoulder!!! In a lot of ways that’s worse!

This tells me is that windyhill lived rent free for more than four hours yesterday.

Did not your boy also find his way to Aussie Rules late?

Yes I don’t think he played many games before he got drafted to Essendon maybe a season? Correct me if I’m wrong. I don’t have anything against Windyhill. I respect his opinion as I do with others on the platform. It’s all in a bit of jest in the case for my boy. I know he is maligned that’s why I chose him.

I don't doubt that you're on good terms. I just thought your exclamation marks looked triggered. It was amusing to me 😊

I'm bullish on Draper. Sounds like his mobility and endurance have really improved, as well as his forward craft. A lot of track watchers seem to have both him and Bryan ahead of 2MP.

Two-pronged ruck forward attack is fine with me. Bryan needs game time and we need to know more about Draper's ceiling and whether he's actually ready to stop clowning. If he has turned the maturity corner and has stepped up his game, he'd be one of the stronger rucks in the comp. I'd then be reluctant to trade.

On reflection the gif was a bit over the top so I removed it. It came out a bit more personal than I intended. I know many people share Windyhill’s views and they are just done with him.

It was my birthday today so I did have a couple of beers after midnight last night as I work arvos so I just wanted to spread the good word about my boy so I probably got a bit carried away.

The last time I remember being genuinely triggered on here was when we were copping those heavy losses just before Truck got fired.

I hope you a right about my boy and glad to see you are onboard. 😊
