I've said before but one thing that really annoys me is talking about Friday nights game on a Monday. Everything has been done to death 48 hours after a game. Concentrate on Sundays games in particular.

It was another version of the Fox Footy power rankings trying to go beyond the state of the ladder at any one time but over the past year it's got a bit silly and almost into MMM territory which isn't what I want from a heavyweight segment on a serious show.

I think that is where the issue lies. What is the average listener in terms of demographics?

1. salary
2. occupation
3. identify as white or blue collar?
4. suburb/region of residence

Not to boast but I am pretty well educated but ultimately I just love sports so I like to listen to Whateley and Dwayne's World. Cannot abide Maher and not into the breakfast show either. Kane and Kingy can be decent as well.

I actually enjoyed that! Went beyond the result and looked at if both teams had done well relatively speaking. Maybe it was Wallace that made it because you know he would watch every game and also knew juniors inside out. He was a big loss to footy media.

Listened to Sportsday last night with the Champion Data bloke.

They listed the Top 10 players in the league "relative to expectations". He made it sound like there was some kind of blackbox algorithm behind it, but the concept sounded very subjective to me. Basically a glorified "footy golf" for players.

Barely listen to SEN these days - only the odd footy match and the Ashes when it was on - and I used to listen to it all day every day up until a few years ago. Can't believe how bad it is now.

Without going back through the whole thread to find opinions, can anyone else not stand Tim Watson?

It’s not even a bombers thing for me, it’s just the all round smugness, treating guests like they’re flipping idiots, list goes on.

I like Gaz in the morning but he gets sucked down this inside joke rabbit hole with Tim sometimes that’s putrid to listen to. Love when Kane/Kingy are on and Bucks and they just talk football though, anything else early morning gets the flick.

Agree wholeheartedly, used to turn on when walking to work but now can’t be bothered; too many ada and te last time I listened after a Matilda’s win it barely got a mention.
