Yeah, he might be more of a chance elsewhere. Interesting year for him.

His strengths and weaknesses are obvious. He needs to be surrounded with speed and skill and be a first ball distributor. It's a niche role. Libba style.

It's a cruel world for inside mids without extra dimensions to their game. There's so much talent there in the AFL.

You can go from depth to hot shit to out of the league real quick.

Which team is he getting a gig in mate? Some players are on lists as depth players and Hustwaite is one of them. Yes some club will come to him and promise him the world then hell go there and do exactly what he is doing at Hawthorn

Ned Long has just been named for the pies. There’d definitely be more opportunities at some other teams even though off current performances he’d still be more of a fringe player.

The one thing he needs to do is take the opportunity when he next gets a go at AFL level. If he steps up he’ll find himself in the best 23 at a club.

Just watched it now for the first time (had forgotten it was on) and its interesting when Sam is talking about how they are going to be feeling at the 10 minute mark of the third quarter vs Sydney.. and it does turn out to be us having to deal with a run on and a weather change..
