There’s a lot of stories about this whole saga. The club, not the players, appointed May and Lynch as co-captains, hoping it would help them stay.
At the end of the season, when both players told the playing group they were going, Ben Ainsworth took a shot at May, and had to be held back by...
and StevenMay to Melbourne.
In the same season if I remember right.
The lesson being careful about who you appoint captain - especially if you don’t have the trust in them to be a solo captain.
Oscar’s decision to play this out in the media with Sam Mitchell is a disgrace and reflects poorly...
Demons forced to broaden CEO search after string of missed candidates
After initially targeting a football-savvy chief executive to help the club confront some upcoming complicated questions, the Demons have had to broaden the search for their next CEO.
Melbourne has been forced to broaden its...
Melbourne are a weak midfield.
Remove the name value, and just look at the results. They're not the same players anymore, people do this all the time.
They've been smashed at clearance and stoppage in 8/9 games, and three straight this year. Young Langford is providing more when in there than...

Trying to kill your players is a left field motivational tactic. Maybe ban Clarry from the sunscreen for a year as the next idea. StevenMays is clearly getting knocked out by everyone at the club eventually

Did anyone else enjoy seeing Ben King smash StevenMay? Considering we got Ben King when we traded StevenMay. Looking forward to Humphrey vs Rankine next week.
That’s actually a decent effort considering the Dees are travelling poorly and have the most fickle supporters in the league and GC have 10 supporters in Victoria, including StevenMay, who was playing for Melbourne and not included in the crowd total.
And Pickett will be gone at the end of this year, you can bank on that now.
Watching StevenMay end his career in a struggling side on the rebuild, in front of garbage crowds like this, will be a delight.
Not sure I agree re Doggies. Best mate is one eyed as you will see and constantly laments his teams poor selections low in the draft, especially compared to Geelong which is where Wells & Co really bury the opposition.
They may hav turned that around recently though with late picks for Freijah...
