Looking forward to seeing Toby Travalia, Alex Tuaru, James Barrett and Hugh Boxall. Amon Armstrong pairs nicely with O’Connelly. Jack Carol and Jack McRae are nice additions.
Makes for a strong best 22.
Can someone explain to me why the first round is 27 picks? I counted three academy/FS selections, three compensation picks and two assistance picks. Shouldn’t it have been 26 picks? It’s doing my head in.
Good lord this is genuinely awful to watch. I don’t pay much attention to this topic but how does this guernsey combination get approved? The AFL never cease to amaze me.
This topic is back in the news. Seems the league is coming around to the idea of independent doctors but in true AFL fashion ‘it’s a conversation they want to keep having’. Better to keep issuing ‘please explains’ than bite the bullet and make the move to independent doctors...
I usually wait for the emotions to settle before posting but this game was a disaster. They were there for the taking but then the rain came down and we forgot how to play.
Granted, we don’t play a lot of wet weather footy but how can we expect to win these games by trying to execute tough...
This should quieten down a few that were flogging the bloke for his performances and attitude. The reality is he’s had a tough year. He’s far from the finished product but he’s a 23 year old key forward with a lot of expectation. 159 from 83 is a very good return. He’s coming toward his prime...
Obvious choice is Howard for Caminiti. For King, keeping in Campbell and playing Marshall forward is straightforward. Sharman and Membrey to also come in.
Keeler or Heath are the other options. At some stage this year we’ll see one of them I reckon. Hopefully we stay away from Cordy.
There’s always been this chat about him going back to SA but it seems to have ramped up on the back of him playing in the VFL and especially a few days after his best performance. Sounds like wishful thinking. He just re-signed.
32 per cent have Taylor or Brayshaw as their favourite play by play commentators according to the AFL fan survey. Scary stuff. Russell at 9 per cent is baffling too.
That’s all the ammunition 7 needs to keep them around.
I’m guessing that we’ll see some re-signings over this bye week. Hill is one that must’ve been sorted, maybe Battle, Crouch, Owens?
Of the 20 or so out of contract, there should be quite a few who will get one year deals, so maybe they get announced post-season. Lot to work through.
This is the latest example of the league’s amateur approach to governance. We have to go back…oh just a few weeks, to the change in interpretation of HTB mid-season, to see the last example.
The competitive balance review is sorely needed and it’s been going on for a long time, yet they still...
Looked to me like we were a bit outclassed and maybe out of petrol. But we gave it a fair crack and looked devastating in the last. A lot to tighten up and for the love of God, please stop leaking goals in red time.
Higgins is elite when he kicks straight
King tried hard and got some reward...
