    The feeling I got and I could be way off base was the Dunks, after Harris was the next clear option as captain. But Hugh being leapfrogged by Dunks wouldn't be great for Hugh. I'm not saying Hugh would be resentful at all, just that he has been VC since before Dunks was at the club IIRC.
