Some positives just to be different,

Green - this kid cracks in harder than most, is really growing in confidence and been a nice surprise so far this season.

Blight - I thought it was defender or bust but I now think he is a better forward/ruck. - work rate is first class.

Dow - haters gon hate, but he is playing good enough footy to hold his best 22 spot - he is our cleanest one touch player and is cracking into contests. Also finding a little more outside ball which is good progress.

Hugo - Welcome return of a bloke who just busts his gut and impacts aerial contests without fear

Brown & Trainor - Just so composed with ball in hand and really having to learn fast

Little reminder for the sooks - we are literally stage 1 of a complete rebuild, we are going to lose most games. Shut the **** up about it

Trainor 22 touches and 10 marks surely he gets nod for rising star this week
Doubt it - no one would have been watching our game amongst the melbec vines

Sorry I'm sure you rightly don't give a **** what I say but a lot of you are absurdly harsh on your team. How did you think gutting the talent for picks would go in the short term?

Rebuilds take a long time and It gets harder as the current experienced mob over 30 and playing OK move on as well but compare your club to the absolute rabble up the road from us who are half arseing their rebuild. Yze has them playing with heart and doing the right things while the talent builds and gets used to AFL.

100% it's like most of us have forgotten what it was like pre 2017.

So as a team who lost Bolton, Baker, Rioli and Graham to trade… and Martin, Pickett and Grimes to retirement, and have a dozen players who could be part of the 23 unavailable… and you’re surprised there’s not much pressure on spots right now?
You've completely missed the point. We have intense competition for spots when it comes to inside mids and key position players. We could have half a dozen injuries to KPF and still easily cover it. Meanwhile Mansell gets injured and we have to bring in a fat MRJ who can't run out a quarter much less a game. It's a composition issue where we have no depth in some areas of the ground and far far too much depth in others (so kids in those positions aren't getting a game or are getting played out of position).

You have become so much better as a poster since getting sacked as a mod
well done ;)

Have you ever asked yourself why there’s not much competition for spots right now … let me help:

Balta
Mansell
Gibcus
Prestia
Clarke
Lefau
Smillie
Hotton
McCauliffe
Lalor
Armstrong
Young

There’s 12 x players who have missed games through injury or suspension. Probably only Lalor in the mix to come in next game.

how many silly handballs did dow do? how many times did he squib it? How many times did he not run because he isnt fast enought to man up. come on mate.
I'm not really sure I have ever seen Dow squib on the field? I'll keep an eye out for that next match.
I don't particularly rate him as a player, but it's not something I've observed watch him that he squibs.

really proud of that 1st half,39 more possesions or sumthin like that ,got plenty of it so that was a positive
only saw 5 mins of the 2nd half and was shocked at the final margin, WTF happened ?
what i have observed overall across all teams not just RFC is that theres a hellava lot of bog average players in this comp
Get a lot more boggier with Tassy debuting!

Anyone potting Dow is doing so out of habit and cause they want an easy out.

He is absolutely not the issue, has been working well in close and one of our better and more consistent defensive players.

Is he the long term answer? Probably not.

But trying to pin it on him is ridiculous
Easy target so that people don't have to pot a favourite player.

Ross and Sonsie are two players who get thrown around position wise. Both are mids, now playing high half forwards. Their role is to try and deliver inside 50 and have score involvements. Problem is, we're getting awful midfield delivery and targeting a very young forward mix.

It's all going to take time, and I'm happy to give every player on our list to find their mojo and right spot.

We need Balta to come in against King this week.

(I actually agree with the mainstream media that he did a sh1dt thing and deserves not to play. But Richmond and the afl have already agreed and backed up by Yze and Dillon on the weekend)

You can’t hand out a sentence and then change your mind two months later because you didn’t read the room.

I think the biggest problems atm are Ross and Short.
TT and Hopper are starting to play better but they need to deliver consistently.

Ross i think gets replaced by Smillie soon enough.
Short is a worry. I dont see a player on our list atm that can replace him. Unfortunately i don think Smith is up to it. Could Green go back similar to what Baker did in his career?
Which of Smiths games as sub convinced you he couldn't play

Just looked like a high tackle live rather than a roundhouse to the head
Yeah I don’t think it’s that bad

Should get looked at but definitely clumsy more than anything

Even post match the two were chatting to each other with zero malice

I wouldn't say Blight is a better forward ruck than he is a defender, not even close. He is however probably our best 2nd ruck option atm.
