Coach Carlton under Voss

We need to get Longmire.

Two of the only players at Carlton that turn up every week and give their all and get more out of the ability they have than others supposedly more talented are both ex-Swans players.

That says a lot about culture and coaching.

Carlton won't sack Voss. Not yet.

They will stubbornly keep him for the next 3 seasons due to the shame of not wanting to sack another coach.

Then they will hire Damian Drum on a 6 year deal.

Time for Carlton and Richmond to be relegated to Sunday afternoon timeslots.

Brisbane
Giants
Hawks
Collingwood
Swans
GC

The above should be filling the prime tv opportunities. Or, if you have to play at the MCG then fixture the games against interstate sides that are actually good against MCG tenants. But stop putting in spud sides because they’re supposed ‘big 4’.

Carlton v North in a few weeks will probably have 110 points in total.

We were all aware how Crazy Vossy went at Brisbane yet Carlton ploughed ahead regardless. It was a bizarre appointment at the time and looks worse now.

Oh well, at least Cripps got the 3 votes last night.

We went after Lyon and when he dropped out it was too late by then. All that was left was dreg options.

Voss assistants when he started were bottom of the barrel appointments as well.

Geelong obviously belongs on that list as well.

Over the last few years watching the Hawks one small positive that kept you going after some poor years was knowing that you would have access to some good picks and then taking a strong interest in the upcoming draft, player profiles etc …….. Carlton can’t even do that! And with Tassie coming in soon tough times ahead for the Blues.

Anyone know when Cripps will get to Ruck/Forward DPP status on Supercoach?

Of all the bonehead Voss moves, changing his best midfielder into David Hale-lite is the most boneheaded.

I think Carlton need to keep him. He's a good coach, he's not the one out there not spreading or running in transition.
Carlton, like Essendon need stability more than anything. Firing a coach will send them back to square one.
Please keep Voss Carlton.

He's the one selecting teams. He's the one working with the football departments and recruiting.

He's shit at it all.

Carlton, Richmond and Essendon both shouldn’t be anywhere near a Friday night game or Saturday night game. Happy for it to be Collingwood non stop against really good sides.
You named three sides and said both
Last night was Thursday
Have a good day

This year's pick is irrelevant even if it's pick #1.

We got a pick #3 this season in Smith who looked like a damn fine player with a difference to the style of players we have now before he was injured.

And a father son in Walker who hopefully lives up to the hype he's garnering.

It's getting rid of the dead wood and getting the salary cap sorted is one of the highest priorities.

Not ideal. Mind you, Bolton was sacked after round 11. The board had plenty of time to get out in front of it.

To relegate? Or play? I think we need to see more Geelong in prime time at the G
Prime time. Geelong vs the contending interstate sides at GMHBA in the big slots, or at the G against the best performing Melbourne based clubs - that's a formula I think works while some other Victorian clubs are stinking it up.

Sorry to say but to build a list where your 25-27th best player is fighting for a spot in the best 22 and that they can play AFL standard footy doesn't happen overnight …… without your first this year and Tassie coming in soon after it’s going to be difficult. Carlton’s biggest issue is its depth their bottom 10 is poor. Carlton fans and the list managers may think otherwise good luck 👍

Ir's not Voss's fault

The blame should be put on the players and the players alone. When you've got players who give pea-hearted efforts (led by Patrick "couldn't be arsed to chase down Nick Watson" Cripps) there's only so much Vossy can do from the coaches box.

The players are at fault.
